Haven't read this issue, but I'd imagine it involves time-travel of some type as by this point Earth-1 Superman was no longer a WW2 hero. Also the actual run(s) of original Blackhawk were not Quality Comics properties and not DC/National Periodicals. Despite all this I wanted both Superman and Blackhawk to co-exist a contemporary WW2 image. As such, I used the Kirk Alyn Superman as he is of the proper general time period.
