Dr. Manic is still at large and has finished building another Phantom Vortex Machine. He works long and hard and finally finishes his work then begins to open the Vortex. When he does he unleashes a hand full of Phantoms into the world. He hides and is unseen. He watches the Phantoms leave his lab and once they're all gone, he shuts the machine down then continues his work. The Doctor doesn't care that he has unleashed a dozen Phantoms into the world and soon they will find hosts to inhabbit and not all of them will be as copertive as the Phantom that inhabbits Officer McCoy. What ever they are, we can be assured that Phantasm will be there to confront them.
