This pic I included in Time-Rider's First Christmas part 2. You can find the link below. The base image is actually one of Harriman, Tn probably some time from around the 1950's. It's representing 1957 Shadow Town, TN in the story. I've have a few other old pics of Harriman I hope to use along with pictures of modern Harriman to compare and contrast the modern stories from the 1950's stories of Time-Rider. Kind of like the way we see the town in Back to the Future change from one time period to the next except I'll be using images of a real town.
One of the interesting things I found looking through old images of Harriman is that in some areas of town it was actually more busy and crowded than today like the main street in town. These days the main street kind of looks run down while in the old days it was a happening modern place. There were 2 movie theaters if I'm not mistaken back then. Now there's none. Fascinating how a town can go from prosperous to nothing from one generation to the next. It's like Walmart has become a town in of and by itself these days in our county. Nobody uses local businesses anymore. Kind of sad, but I can't complain I shop there to.
