I think he must have changed his costume in recent years. I think he was wearing something else on the Brave and the Bold cartoon unless that was another character I'm confused with.

Actually Tim, you may be thinking of B'wanna Beast (regrettable name). Please check out Grant Morrison's 'Animal Man'. Its pretty good stuff.

Oh ok, yeah I thought I might be getting that character mixed up. I do remember seeing Animal Man in comics though sometime around the Crisis on Infinite Earths in the 80's.
