Jim Watson is a scientist who works in his own private laboratory in his basement. He owns many stocks that keep him sustained. The money that comes in also helps him continue his research. Jim works many hours which cut into his social life, except when his good friend comes to visit him. His name is Sean Wilson, the only friend Jim has ever had. On one sertain day he came to visit his friend Jim. On this day Jim was about to discover the secret to his speed suit. “Jim! Permission to enter the mad scientist’s lair.” Sean called out. Jim dropped his work to let Sean in. “Permission granted my old friend but hurry, I’m very close.” Sean entered Jim’s home just before the storm came. “So how close are you this time?” Sean asked. Jim led Sean down to his laboratory where he continued to work. “This formula will change the world; if it works I will be able to speed up the time it takes for plants to grow. This would truly make a difference in those countries where people are starving…” He paused for a moment, carfully studying the last few chemicals that remained. “You just realized how to make this work didn’t you?” Asked Sean. Jim walked towards the window with the formula in hand. As he reached for the final ingredient lightning came crashing through the window and struck the formula. The formula was all over Jim and it he screamed violently as the formula burned into each pore. Sean grabbed Jim and threw him in the shower but it was useless. Jim continued to scream in pain but just as Sean went to call an ambulance, Jim passed out. Sean inspected Jim to see the extent of the damage but there was none to be found. A doctor soon arrived to check up on Jim and could find nothing wrong with him. Jim was in bed for three days before finally waking up. After eating a large amount of food he returned to his laboratory to research what happened to him. He heard the doorbell and ran to the door. He was there in a split second and ran into the front door. Sean opened the door when he heard something ran into the door. He found Jim on the floor rubbing his head. “Did you run into the door?” Sean asked as he helped him up. “I didn’t even see the door. One moment I was in the lab and the next I’m running into the door.” They went back to the lab, “You were down here trying to understand why you weren’t hurt, right? Did you find anything?” Jim shook his head and began pacing back and forth. Sean’s jaw dropped as he watched Jim pace faster and faster until he couldn’t see him, only feel bursts of wind in the room. “JIM! STOP!!!” He immediately stopped, “What?” asked Jim. “How did you do that? How did you move so fast?”
