“Many years ago, on the night your father and brother disappeared… I became your father.” Our hero’s blood went cold as Xanatos’ words rang in his ears. “No… Liar!!!” He immediately opened fire on Xanatos. He took two in the chest, one to the head and three more to the stomached. Xanatos pulled them out. “Honestly? What would I gain from lying to you… On second thought I can think of several but I’m not. I was carrying my dagger with me that night I attacked your father and brother. He managed to get his hands on it and buried it into my heart before I could kill your brother. As you know, my soul left my original body and entered your fathers. Thus I lived again. Your brother saw everything, I was going to just end his life but decided he could be of great use to me and the rest is history.” VH fell to his knees and said nothing. Xanatos circled around our broken hero. “Look at you, I thought the Oracle said you were to be my greatest adversary… but I don’t see how that is possible. You’re practically catatonic.” Xanatos crouched down in front of VH. “That’s right! I forgot to mention that I saw the Oracle yesterday. After our previous encounter I wanted to see the future held in store but the only thing the Oracle would say was that we were destined to be adversaries… hmm, I can’t tell if you’re even listening.” Xanatos removed VH’s helmet, “Ah that’s better. Yes I do believe you are listening, I can see it in your eyes. I really have done you wrong haven’t I? I killed your mother when you were a child and right before your eyes I might add. I killed your long lost twin brother who had been doing my bidding all these years, I’m using your father as my host body, killed your girlfriend’s father and for years you’ve been searching me out and when you finally found me, you are denied your revenge because if you kill me you would become me… Wow, I’m surprised you’re not completely catatonic.” Without warning, Xanatos’ face is slammed into the ground then hurdled off the building. Xanatos looks up to see both Brenda and Wolfblade. Xanatos smiles, leaps into the air and lands back on the roof. “You realize its bad manners to barge in on a conversation.” Wolfblade helps VH to his feet. “You stay away from him Xanatos.” Brenda said harshly. Wolfblade called Gala to bring them back to base. Once back at HQ, VH comes to his senses but says nothing. “Hey, you ok man?” Wolfblade asked. VH broke free and slowly walked back to his room. “I don’t know what Xanatos did to him but when I get my hands on him…” Brenda was cut off by Face, “Jack has learned a terrible secret about Xanatos. Bobbie and I were listening to them. It would seem that Jack’s father didn’t die but is now host to Xanatos… I’m afraid Jack is in a very unstable situation right now.
