Don't let anyone tell you these panels are too dark. If they are for the screen go with it, as you spoon feed the reader information the darkness and the reason for it is slowly being explained. I like the self-conflicting hero. We all face our good intentions and demons on a daily so why not have a hero who has these very human struggles "literally" I assume no one else can see these unwanted sidekicks?
I spotted the use of the same background as the other post...well that's his turf, it works.

Right you are the sidekicks are invisible to everyone but him. It's like representing our concience in a physical manifestation. Gee don't that sound fancy.
