That's a hero that's been around a long time, but never really taken off. I had a couple of his Whitman comics from the 80's. I think he's been around longer than that though.
I like his costume you've made here.

Cool idea for an upgrade. Maybe if someone else got the powers and took over the identity then this would be a neat costume for them.
