Reminds me of Planet of the Apes. I recently bought the TV Series on DVD.

Never actually seen the series just the original movie with Charton Heston and the remake with Mark Walhberg. Haven't even seen the rest of the original movies. Charlton Heston's version was better because you really weren't expecting it to be earth and then wham there's the statue of liberty.

Yeah, it was definitely a shocker. The screenplay I believe was written by Rod Serling from the Twilight Zone who was the master of shocking endings. Nobody before or sense knows how to end a story like he did.

The Apes movies do tend to get a little worse as they go. The show was actually pretty good especially considering the times it was made in. I was a big fan of the Planet of the Apes when I was a kid. I'm disapointed they never made a sequel to Mark Walhberg's after that shocking ending. I just knew it had to be continued.

yeah I think a sequel is kind of mandatory for the Mark Walhberg one. I mean monkey's driving police cars how cool is that?
