Great background. It's got that time and space feel to it that works well with time travel.

Which version of Time-Rider do you like the best. The new one with the cape or the one without the cape?

I like the Cape. I also like the lighter Blue across the upper body. The long hair of the Evil Rider was a good touch. Maybe "Ridey" can grow his hair a bit.

I grew up in the 80's with hair metal so I figured I'd have a heavy metal Time-Rider.

So I don't know if you've noticed or not, but I've mixed and matched styles of art. Sometimes going for a more 3d look like the image you've used here, and sometimes going more for a drawn look. Which one do you think works the best, or does it matter?

Honestly I like the Mix. It makes for diversity and keeps it fresh. Just dont give him a "Mullet"

I like it. It does give it a more time-travel feel. Makes me wonder What if Time-Rider met the crew of the USS Enterprise? Do I hear Time-Rider/Star Trek crossover???

Oh and I want to comment on the Cape discussion. I like it and I don't like it at the same time. The cape makes him seem more like a superman type where your Deadlaw is like batman, the darkness to Time-Rider's lighter side, don't get me wrong Time-Rider looks good in the cape but I'm not sure he's the type of hero that needs a cape. I think of him more as the flash or spiderman a little more carefree type hero who looks good without it. Just my opinions though.

There's another thing I've struggled with and that's should I have ever started him flying? For some reason I've had the hardest time making up my mind on exactly what Time-Rider can and can't do. I'm contemplating a story that will take me back to ground zero without messing up what I've written already. Sort of a relaunch without messing up Time-Rider continuity. Of course with a hero that can travel in time anything can happen.

Maybe like when he met evil time-rider and couldn't use his powers?? Have something take away his powers and then he can slowly get them back but only have him get back the ones you want him to keep. Maybe the Maxitaliens can take them away from him somehow???

That's kind of what I was thinking, but I'll keep it a secret as to how I'll do it. I think I'm leaning towards powers that focus only on his time travel abilities like super speed, and maybe giving him a couple of permanent pistols. My original take on the character when I dreamed him up was a time traveling Indiana Jones. So I might even take away the super speed.
