Since he is trapped in another dimension; an attempt to free him could propel him to another dimension closer to us but controlled by the machines.

Time-Rider vs Neo or Time-Rider vs Agent Smith? I'd need to create a comic book looking Neo and Agent Smith to make it fit it together properly.
Say what about Time-Rider in a galaxy far far away? Time-Rider meets Highlander? If I just had more time think of the stories I could come up with.
