A very short 3 page story found in a DC
Comics magazine, Time Warp no. 3 1979 issue. It was drawn by
legendary comic book artist Steve Dikto. It's very reminiscent of
the Twilight Zone. Time Warp was an anthology series where each
story focused on a different character.

I like the ending quote:
Once, flying through the
firmament that the ancients called heaven, a cosmonaut proclaimed,
"I see no God here! and as the myth crashed earthward no one thought
to say, "Fly higher!" For
science need not destroy faith--indeed at the very limits of our
progress, we like Captain Dennis Martin may rediscover a precious
something--call it magic--that has been lost. end. |
