Batman's Christian Bale had a number one hit this weekend with a western proving he can use guns even if his Batman character won't touch them. The Western 3:10 to Yuma is even getting critical acclaim.

1. "3:10 to Yuma," $14.1 million

2. "Halloween," $10 million.

3. "Superbad," $8 million.

4. "Balls of Fury," $5.7 million.

5. "The Bourne Ultimatum," $5.5 million.

6. "Shoot 'Em Up," $5.5 million.

7. "Rush Hour 3," $5.3 million.

8. "Mr. Bean's Holiday," $3.4 million.

9. "The Nanny Diaries," $3.3 million.

10. "Hairspray," $2 million.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Equilibrium if that's the one where he has all those cool gun stunts in the future.

I can't wait to see 3:10 to Yuma. There hasn't been a really good western since Young Guns II. Now that movie was a awesome western. I did like that Jessie James movie American Outlaws pretty good too though.

brad pitt's doing a movie about jesse james.  i'm not a huge pitt fan though. i loved the western tombstone.  and yes, the future gun flic is equilibrium.

Tombstone, right I forgot about that one. That one is another classic. My favorite part is when Val Kilmer is drunk, and sees three of one guy and threatens to shoot the one in the middle. Kurt Russel did a great job as Wyatt Earp as well.

I liked it a lot better than Kevin Costner's Wyatt Earp movie.
