I always liked the movie and read a B.P.R.D. graphic novel from the library which furthered my interests in the hellboy-verse. So at comic-con i got a bunch of them on sale and was wandering if anyone else has read any of the hellboy/bprd graphic novels. i've noticed in the first mini series (seed of destruction) the art is spectacular. now i still find mignola's art cool, but in his later hellboys there's a clear decline (for lack of better word) from "amazing, his best stuff", to "stylized mignola that looks cool and unique but just isn't the eye candy his earlier hellboy work is." he actually started hellboy for the same reason frank miller started sin city--to draw what he wanted to draw ("monsters").
the new hellboy mini series is drawn by some other dude--i guess mignola's gotten wrapped up in the hellboy story now. bummer, i really like stuff that's written and drawn by one guy. it really helps get their unique vision across. but the story's important too, now that hellboy's entering his final arcs. (at least according to mignola's interview in wizard magazine.)
any new word on hellboy 2 :the golden army?(movie) __________________"You...complete me."
