Terribly sorry to interrupt like this, but I've noticed that one of your "artists", Tyler Bingham, has been using copyright protected artwork as backgrounds in several of his images.

This, and several other images using this background yet varying by character, is by an artist who has apparently not given Tyler permission to use his work.
Please remove the images using those works, thank you.

I have to ask are you the artist?  How do you even know where he got the image or even if the artist cares if someone uses it as a background?

No I'm not the artist, but I am a member of an art blog - Deviantart - where I first saw the original picture.

The artist would care if someone used it without permission because it is against the copyright law, and just below the image you can see it is copyrighted to that artist.

Well look I appreciate your concern, but unless the artist him or herself complains it doesn't seem like that big a deal to me. People use stuff they get off google or yahoo image searches all the time. It's impossible to trace the origins of every image floating on the net. Most of the images we have are just people having fun putting stuff together with adobe.

Now don't get me wrong. I discourage anyone claiming something as their own when it's not.

But look if the artist is offended I will go through and remove it, but it seems like a big hassle if he doesn't care. I'd even post a link somewhere on the page if it would make the guy happy. Surely there would be something we could do to make everyone happy.

I'd hate to remove somebody's stuff you know and make them mad.

I just want to put my input, if that's ok.

When someone posts a picture on the internet without protecting it, they give everyone the right to copy and use it.  Deviant Art was a poor choice to post his stuff if he didn't want it to be used...

That's a good point.

It's impossible to keep images from being used across the net. I think it's actually a compliment when people use your image.

I'd prefer that people that use someone's work at least mention the source though to keep peace between everyone. If the source is known.
