Quote: if that's the case i can't find much motive to read comics anymore. I wouldn't give up on comics completely because in the world of comics just like everything else nothing ever stays the same. If you don't like what's happening now, odds are something will change later down the road that you will like.
I do see where you are coming from as far as to questioning the logic of making this a permanent change. As a story it's very interesting, but if it stays a permanent change to the Marvel universe then it's a bad decision. It's just that Aunt May has probably died or almost died like 50 times already.
It's time to see what happens to Peter Parker as an adult.
The thing we the reader have to keep in mind is that sometimes it's takes earth shattering events to get folks to drive down to the comic shop. I miss the days when all I had to do was go to the local drug store to get my comics. Heck, there was like 2 or 3 different places in town where I could get my comics as a kid. Now I got to drive for 30 minutes and fight what I consider big city traffic, or I got to order comics online or have a subscription.
While I'm on the subject I'm not too crazy about Marvel's online comics deal. It might hurt the back issue market values. Of course that just means I might be able to get my old comics cheaper.
