Seeking a first trophy, a Predator would strike while cloaked, firing a plasma bolt through the Gorilla's armor, vaporizing metal and flesh. A subsequent kill might require use of a thrown or lunged spear. The Gorilla armor might make this especially challenging, but not impossible. Finally, a Predator might stand off against a Gorilla with only its wrist blades deployed. Capable of severing concrete and steel cables, the blades would penetrate the Gorilla's armor, but slashig attacks would undoubtably prove futile. In a hand-to-hand situation, the Predator should expect to take some serious blows before impaling the Gorilla.
For the Predators, the new "planet Soror" would be a hunter's paradise. Not only do humans exist as primitives, but the Apes have risen to become the top predators. Nearly as strong as the Predators, these sentient Apes would prove far more challenging to kill, making up for their lesser intellect.
Of course, with their primitive technology, the Apes would soon find themselves trophies, with little hope of beating the invisible hunters.
