Rented out Superhero Movie yesterday, and I'm just glad I didn't waste money going to see it at the theater. Leslie Nielson had a few funny moments, but for the most part I was just more in awe of the film's stupidity than laughing. The best scenes were in the trailer. It needed more physical comedy than it had.   There were too many jokes like the kind kids tell in the back of school buses. Just stupid stuff.

I didn't appreciate the stupid jokes about the guy that was paralyzed in the movie at all. Just bad taste. I expected a lot more action for a movie that had superhero in the title. Here was a chance to do something different that we hadn't seen before. Instead it was like a cheap version of Spider-Man rehashed with cheap effects and bad actors.

Say if you are going to pick on someone real in a movie then pick on politicians. Not some poor paralyzed guy. I can't remember the guy's name in real life but he's a man that is paralyzed but is known the world over for his genius.

Now in complete honesty I laughed here and there. I laughed when Rick (Peter Parker clone) ran into the bus. I laughed when Uncle Albert shot Rick's sidekick with a nail gun. I laughed a couple of other times here and there, but nothing like Airplane or Naked Gun.

This movie only made $25,864,428 at the box office in the U.S, and it costs $35,000,000 to make. Looked more like 500 bucks.

Combined worldwide totals it did manage to make a profit with $59,303,985 million. A lot of poor people got suckered into buying a ticket for this thing I guess.
