Quote:
Nolan wants the 62-year-old Oscar-winner to portray the whip-wielding cat burglar as "a vamp in her twilight years," the British Telegraph newspaper quoted an anonymous studio executive as saying.

"The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry's purring creations," the exec added.

Has Nolan went so dark he lost his mind somewhere in the darkness? Or is he a complete genius, or will fans automatically accept anything he does no matter who he picks? Tune in same Bat channel same Bat website.

But wouldn't she be too old to go toe to toe with the Dark Knight? Catwoman is supposed to be the sexy suductress burglar who captivates Bats in order to escape and otherwise get her way. I don't see that same report with an older Catwoman.

He's definitely trying to change the Batman mythos a little here besides how can I see Cher as Catwoman without hearing those songs in my head like, "If I could turn back time" and that Sonny Cher song, "I got you babe"

Just be hard to take this seriously.

i don't believe it.  not only is that crazy, but i don't see catwoman (or robin) fitting in to this franchise.
also i'd be surprise if work on the new one was started that quickly given the year (or two) hiatus from work on knight after begins.
i don't know who i'd like to see, maybe a return villain like ghul agin.  i don't know if i see riddler or catwomabn or penguin relaly fitting in.  now that two-face, joker, and ghul have been done who may be my very favorite baddies in batmans mythos.  maybe freeze could be done right.  like the highly acclaimed animated series episode "heart of ice" by the great paul dini, which revived the character.  cartoony costume aside, the voice acting and script were spectacular.

The story of Freeze in the cartoon series was definitely done right. Too bad Paul Dini didn't work on the movie Batman and Robin.

Little old to be a love interest for a 34 yr old superhero, isnt she? Nothing wrong with an older woman, Id still kill for a date with Lynda Carter, but still, shes nearly twice his age, and I cant see a 62 yr old female cat burglar climbing the side of buildings.

Its bad enough theres rumours of Johnny Depp being the Riddler, but Cher?

Johnny Depp I think is cool, but Cher not so cool.

yeah why u haitn on depp?  dudes ideal, and i heard a rumor that him as the riddler was no longer a rumor.  one thing fo-sho, he always immerses himself into his roles.
ex: (willy wonka, sweeney todd, edward scisorhands, pirates trilogy)
i also heard tha phillip seymour hoffman, a great role player has been wanted as the penguin.  now neither of these characters strike me as awesome, i think the actors can rejuvinate them with skill and a good script.
but man it would've been sweet to have ledger reprise the joker.  possibly the greatest industry tragedy in the last decade for movie fans.
