Well they had the lovey dovey stuff, and a little bit of the old cheating heart crap in Spider-man 3, but it's nowhere near as bad as a soap opera. My mom used to watch those things all the time. To this day I still have some of the soap opera musical themes in my head.

My mom and sister are the same way with soap operas, so could never understand it when they complained about the romance going in Smallville with Clark and Lana.

Yeah, you wouldn't talk about it. I mean, if one of my (male) friends came forward and told me he watched soap operas, I would never look at him the same way again.

Good point, Punishment. But I guess that problem can be solved by dvrs though.
