What did you think of Michael Chiklis as the Thing? Is he big enough and tough enough to play the rocky hero?

He certainly looks big enough to me. I'm not so sure about the succes of the movie, though. We'll see.

You know watching trailers on tv for the Fantastic Four and the War of the Worlds I think the F4 movie is more visually pleasing. You can tell what's going on. The war of the worlds seems to be one big blur. Maybe it will look better on screen. I plan on seeing both of them though.

Michael Chicklis has done a complete 360 in his career, his first role as the commish was rather dull and boring, ever since the shield premiered, he has been one tough customer, him playing the thing was a great choice......now imagine if the recruited Afleck for that one!!!

It really doesn't matter his size...I am glad to see a human playing the role instead of the computerized injustice they gave The Hulk.

Big Dog I even though I liked the daredevil movie I have to agree that Affleck would have made a terrible thing. Chicklis is probably the best choice.

I'm also glad as Tolerance said that the Thing isn't computer generated.

I have to agree there, I don't see any actor being big enough though to have assumed the role of the Hulk.

The cameo by Stan Lee and Lou Ferigno in the hulk flick was pretty good though!

I guess the cgi Hulk goes down as extremely controversial with fans. To me it seemed more real with the close ups for some reason. Some of the distance shots of the Hulk didn't seem to move quite right. Personally, I would have went with just one size Hulk and got a body builder maybe even Lou again combined with cgi to bring the Hulk to life.

My favorite scene from the Hulk movie was the tank scene. When he goes baseball on it. That was cool.

Chicklis has the Things persnality, if not the size. THe Thing should be around 6'5 or over. Chicklis may be a bit small, but he has the whole Thing persona down pat - or so it looks from the interviews and trailers.

The Chiklis issue of Muscle and Fitness can't be out much longer now...I've got to make sure I can get my hands on one ASAP. I'm not really a comic book guy, but this one is bound to end up being worth some money in those circles. I hear it has a mini-comic inside that nobody else has? Whatever...I'll consider it an investment.
