Knight Rider returns with new episodes on NBC beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 31.

New episodes are expected to run through the completion of the show's first season at the end of February.

Following are descriptions of the next three episodes:

"KNIGHT FEVER" on Wednesday, Dec. 31

Mike (Justin Bruening) must stop the spread of a computer virus that threatens a total global meltdown. The job gets much harder when KITT (voiced by Val Kilmer) is infected. Meanwhile, Mike's jealousy begins to show when Sarah (Deanna Russo) reconnects with an old flame (guest-star Jeffrey Pierce), who may be the key to solving the latest mission.

"DON'T STOP THE KNIGHT" on Wednesday, Jan. 7

Mike and KITT are sent on an endless string of mini-missions by a crazy terrorist in exchange to keep Ambassador Olara Kumali (guest-star Vanessa Williams) alive, but they soon realize that they are part of a bigger plan. Trying to outsmart the terrorist, Rivai (Sydney Tamiia Poitier) and a team of FBI agents find themselves in an explosive situation. Meanwhile, Sarah and Dr. Graiman (Bruce Davison) try to fix a sick robot.

"DAY TURNS INTO KNIGHT" on Wednesday, Jan. 14

Mike and KITT are now transporting a bomb in the trunk of the car, but in order for it not to explode they must stay above 100 miles-per-hour. Trying to come up with a plan to disable the bomb, they load KITT onto the plane to buy some time and keep up their speed. Clinging to life, Rivai manages to give a clue to find where the terrorist is hiding. Meanwhile, Sarah receives some upsetting news about her dad.

Don't forget Knight Rider is back tonight. Let's watch it so they don't cancel another cool show. Remember if we don't support shows like this all that will be left eventually will be shows about dancing and which pop singer can reach the highest note.

Last nights was pretty good. Lots of cool music, explosions, nice car, girls I can't comment on because my wife wouldn't like it, etc etc.

I like fast paced shows. If this one doesn't win the ratings battle I give up on people these days. I can't understand why people keep flocking to watch lousy dance shows and Idol crap. I'd rather sit in a dentist chair.

Crap I completely forgot to dvr it. I guess I got distracted. But I did watch my dvd of Iron Man.

Oh man. Well set it to tape all new episodes of Knight Rider. That's what I've done. Then no matter what I got it.

There. Its been done. See what I used to do was, I would record the first episode of a new show, but I wouldn't put it on Season Pass until I know that I like it. But that didn't work out, cause when I recorded the first episode of Life on Mars, I didn't get around to watching it, and by the time I did, the second one had already aired and I had missed it.

The trick is to never watch regular TV without having recorded it I think. Which is a good thing to do since you miss all the commercials.

I wonder if they still tabulate ratings the way they used to?

I'm so spoiled by my dvr. i never watch tv with commercials unless its football--which is the only thing you have to watch when its on. All of my other shows are recorded. I don't even remember how I got along before I got the dvr.
