You know I wish I had more time because it just hit me the other day what would make a good time travel story.
I was just trying to imagine kids from the 80's based on people I knew finding themselves in 2009. What the heck would they think? What would I think if old me from the 80's landed in 2009?
Think about a trip to Walmart for instance. Remember how kids were all into fitness? Why when I was a kid if you looked like you had 5 extra pounds they made fun of you. So I can just see how 80's kids would totally freak out walking around in Walmart with all the heavy people running around especially if they ran into their formerly skinny friends. Why even the modern teenager looks like they are auditioning for the part of Fat Albert. I can just hear the jokes flying about the little carts people ride.
And the Internet, even the dirty minded kids would be freaking out over the stuff they found there in the library no less. Probably warp them for life.
Cell phones would probably go into the cool column. 80's kids could relate them to Star Trek communicators.
Superhero movies would probably also rank really high on the cool meter with the cool visuals and special effects these days.
I don't know anybody else have any ideas of what their old 80's selves might do in this wild future we know as 2009?

I think the modern Video games would blow their minds. From Space Invaders to Gears of War.
Although MP3 might be confusing when all you know is the old sony walkman.

Shoot Cds were like a new thing back then. I remember when the local pop station starting playing Cds. Every hour or so you'd hear songs skipping.
