I miss the old hulk smash of the 60's 70's and early 80's. That's when the Hulk was the most popular.

I thought the grey hulk, talking hulk, and the other mixed up versions were temporary storylines but it's going on 2 - 3 decades now and still no basic hulk tales of the old reliable hulk.

Here's the Planet Hulk Trailer

planet hulk is awesome. best material hulk's had in awhile in superdude's opinion. read it, it takes a gladiator sort of view.  in sin city, dwight says how marv would fit perfect in ancient rome swingin' an axe, but nowadays he's just a big brute.  this applies to the hulk too.  it's sad how they trick hulk into doing a mission in space and send him away into space randomly.  this was the good guys that did this. anyways, silver surfer makes an appearance too in an awesome issue. i posted the cover in my aweosme covers topic.

It's better than recent storylines over the last few years, but I'm still hoping for a return to the old greenskin I know and love from the good old 70's and 80's. You know Hulk green, and Hulk smash. Well he's green now, but way too smart. The Hulk used to be a force of nature. I really believed he could whoop even Superman if he got angry enough, but now I'm not so sure. He sure does bleed a lot easier than he did in the old days whenever just bounced off of him.

I enjoyed a recent backup story they did with a kid with a hyped up intelligence going after Reed Richards for tricking the Hulk into space. I liked thought that one was the best I've read in quite a while. I guess it was in part to the classic scenes the story relates back to from the Hulk's glory days.

yeah reed was a main factor in banishing hulk. as far as hulk being smarter, he's permanently hulk in planet hulk, even when he's calm. and banner was smart so he needs intelligence or it'd just be him smashing stuff.  i like how hulk had more of an intelligent character now, but some people would prefer the smashing.  he's also getting older. in a planet hulk giant size issue that i nearly bought, there was a story in there called hulk: the end.  it was about his death, by popular demand.  in "the end" issues they show how their characters could die, but dont lose all the money they're getting from the character. wolverine had one too. regardless, i like the fact that they've opened it up to new possibilities and it looks like he's gonna stay there for awhile if not forever. and if they ever do bring him back, i'm sure he'll still visit it somehow. actually i think he's coming back to appear in civil war. he's on my t-shirt i got, but that issue is just civil war files so it may explain why he's not there.

So how did they show the end of wolverine?

I've got that giant size Hulk issue you are talking about. It was pretty good all the way through. The Defenders story and the End of Hulk story was probably the best although it was a bit gruesome.
