I was reading on some websites relating to Smallville, that the season finale has two characters dying and staying dead- not to come back next season. One is supposed to be a long running character, the other a recent type of character. Anyone heard who they may be or any guesses who they may be? Just wonderin'.

Chloe or Lana for the long running character would be my guess. Especially Chloe since she has no real ties to the comics. And Lana so that Clark can finally move on and hook up with Lois. Recent characters would be either Doomsday (dying in a final battle with Clark where he finally becomes Superman on the finale) or Tess Mercer. Those are just my thoughts and maybe the Doomsday vs Superman thing may be wishful thinking but it'd be about time he took up the costume and the name. __________________ HeavyInk

Based on the fact Chloe isn't really a comic book character from the original mythos, I think she's the logical choice to get the ax. Davis Doomsday is bound to die too. I have heard though Chloe is supposed to be running the Watchtower possibly for the JLA, but since this is sci-fi perhaps just her consciousness could be running the computer system while her natural body is dead. There's a million ways to work these things in sci-fi stories.
