oh yeah, i read batman year one around the time of batman begins' release and noticed a lot of similarities like the final scene which was almost identical to batman year one. i think that might've been miller's best writing yet. letting mazzuchelli draw it really gave frank time to work on the script and made it a little less of your typical miller story, it focused on a more realistic side of batman when most of franks' stuff is exaggerated and larger than life batman. the repainted graphic novel was the icing on the cake that gave it that somber, realistic look. i've got to get that book sometime. __________________"You...complete me."
