I was wondering what everyone's favorite Time Travel themed films are? Since Tim created Time Rider I figured him along with other folks on this board may have an interest in time travel fiction and what not. I'd say my favorite time travel themed movie is Donnie Darko has anyone seen it? __________________ Don't you ever laugh as the hearse goes by,For you may be the next to die.

I made a list a while back of time travel shows and movies. Here's the best movies. Planet of the Apes - My ultimate favorite if for no other reason than the fact I loved it so much as a child. The Planet of the Apes had it all, a astronaut traveling to future devastated by nuclear weapons and controlled by apes. Then they did the unthinkable and blew up the planet while sending the future's most intelligent apes back to the present. The Final Countdown - An American nuclear aircraft carrier the USS Nimitz, way back in 1980, ends up in a time storm and gets lost back a day before December 7, 1941 the bombing of Pearl Harbor Back to the Future - The fun loving movie about a teenager and a local scientist who invents a time machine out of a Delorian. Michael J. Fox's biggest hit, and probably the biggest box office time traveling hit of all time. The Time Machine - The Time Machine 2002 is an update to the classic Terminator -The apocalyptic future makes for a great time travel story along with lots of action and cyborgs of course.

Troubled adolescent, Donnie Darko, receives a disturbing vision that the world will end in 28 days. With the help of various characters, including a 6 foot rabbit called Frank, he slowly discovers the mysterious physical and metaphysical laws that govern his life and that will lead up to the destruction of the universe.
