Don't forget to watch Smallville this Thursday Jan 26 2006 as a major character is supposed to die. For spoilers and to vote on who you think is going to get it Smallville News Will it be Jonathan, Chloe, Lex Luthor, Lana Lang, or somebody else?

The death was: **SPOILER** Jonathan Kent. What the heck? I thought Smallville was supposed to keep with the comics? Isn't Jonathan Kent in the comic books when Clark becomes Superman?

Yeah, Jonathan is alive in the current comic book storylines. It was way back in the 1970's they had him killed off before Clark becomes Superman as told in the Superman the movie. Personally, I hate that they killed him off. John Schneider is a big part of the show. He keeps it from getting too far out there in unbelievable sci-fi land. Keeps the show grounded so to speak. Makes it more realistic I think.

It was dumb. I wish they would've stayed with the comics, leaving Chloe as the only logical choice.
