If they do Heroes for Hire, it had better be a show. Even their name tells you that you would follow them for a series of adventures, not just a big screen experience.
With the Hulk, I think what has been missing is the hroic aspect of how Bruce Banner became the Hulk. Ang Lee came the closest to the origin in this way, but people should remember that Banner riskedhis own life to save a kid who had wandered into the bomb's testing range. It's one reason why I am severely disappointed that Rick Jones has not been in a single live-action adaptation: he's indebted to Bruce and, by hanging around him, is one of two people who knows the Hulk is good at heart (the other being Betty).
But it would be great to see a Timely series. To use Captain America in a TV series, all they have to do in the movie is show that, after Steve Rogers is given the serum, a significant amount of time passes before he encounters the rocket (jump cuts are very useful in such circumstances). And if they would not use Cap in a show, that gives them more excuses to use their original stable of characters. After all, Marvel Comics #1 alone had the Human Torch, Namor, the Angel, the Masked Raider, and Ka-Zar. Captain America didn't even come into the picture until a bit later. __________________All the bad things in life only help you appreciate the good even more.

I would love to have an official explanation as to why the gamma bomb version along with Rick Jones origin wasn't used in the movies. Rick Jones is such an important part of the Hulk stories. Perhaps they were trying to copy the show in a way, but that was definitely not one of the aspects of the show that should have been carried over. __________________

Rick Jones should have been in the movies. Maybe they'll put him in the Avengers somehow, if they can alter the storyline from The Incredible Hulk the same way they did with the first Hulk movie. Not only was he important to the Hulk stories, he was crucial to the creation of the Avengers. It was his message that brought them all together.

I wonder how many Rick Jones fans out there have been ticked by his movie absence? You know probably the best adaption so far to me as far might be the 80's cartoon series. The music, the sound effects, it was just perfect capturing the essence of the Hulk, and it had Rick Jones. Although his appearance wasn't quite right to me. __________________

Rick Jones would be one character who could play an important role in several different movies. He could be in The Avengers, a Hulk sequel if there is one, Captain America 2, Captain Mar-Vell, and Rom. I would definately like to see the Kree-Skrull War on the big screen, and they'd have to include the part where Rick gets the Destiny Force from the Supreme Intelligence.

Rick Jones played a big role in a lot of heroes, I guess at this point if they brought him into the movies they'd almost have to ignore his connection to the Hulk, unless they did a reboot of the Hulk's origin again. It's so much easier when they do these things right the first time.
I wouldn't mind seeing Rom on the bigscreen or even just back in the comics. Rom was such a cool comic back in the day. I guess Marvel has lost the rights to publish a comic of Rom. __________________

I never read any Rom, but I do know they've been trying for Deathlok, which would be cool.
What would be quite awesome, but probably would never happen, is a big-screen Marvel vs. DC. It's just fun to think of.
But I always say that one thing Marvel could do with a show is introduce a new character (or dust off one who isn't being used) as the center of a show and have that show tie into the rest of the Marvel universe proper. Such an instance would at least lessen the criticism that the show would not be staying true to the character.
But still, great subjects for Marvel shows would be Heroes for Hire, Exiles, Jessica Jones, or the like. Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see movies of the Great Lakes Avengers (go Squirrel Girl!), Spider-Man: Reign, Secret Wars, or Annihilation. __________________All the bad things in life only help you appreciate the good even more.

I'd love to see Power Man and Iron Fist as a TV show.
The original Deathlok storyline featuring a cyborg in the future would make a great TV or movie. __________________

Back to Cap talk, the costume.
Looks like the Ultimates. I'd prefer the original comic book version but this will do. __________________

Ugh, I hate it, actually. It's in part that I hate the Ultimate uniform, as well, but also that it reminds me (specifically the helmet does) of the Captain America from the 1979 TV movies (the one who rode a motorcycle, was never in World War II, had a clear shield, and such other things).
Also, the uniform looks too utilitarian, too much like a normal soldier's uniform. He's supposed to be an icon, to stand out. I would think that an important factor for him is for the enemy to notice him and therefore focus on firing at/killing him, so the other soldiers might have a better chance. Captain America can deal with being shot at, after all.
Also, the point has been noted before, that this uniform is something that would be made now, but not in the 1940s. If they wanted him to look like a soldier, they should have made him look like a soldier of his era, not of today.
Also, if those are supposed to be HYDRA agents behind him--what the heck? They look like they were plucked from GI Joe. Where's the green? They could have at least had a camo-type green for them, instead of black.
My optimism for this movie is waning. But you never know. I was worried about some of the changes they'd announced befor the first Iron Man film came out, but enjoyed the movie. This could have a similar effect. __________________All the bad things in life only help you appreciate the good even more.

Yeah, I'm a little worried about this focus on Hydra instead of Nazis. The new Avengers cartoon doesn't even mention Nazis. They make it seem like World War II was fought to defeat a super villain organization instead Germany. Rewriting history doesn't sit well with me even for a comic book movie. Not on that big a scale. __________________

It's rediculous, anyways, because Nazis are the perfect villains. They don't need HYDRA when there was an actual evil organization bent on world domination and eradicating people who were not like them. __________________All the bad things in life only help you appreciate the good even more.

As a Super-Soldier I think the costume makes allot of sense. Other pictures show him with the triangle shield, so obviously his look changes in the movie. I hope though at some point (Avengers?) it morphs more towards the "classic" look.

I like the costume a lot. I think it is because it does look more like a soldier's uniform. However I don't like the helmet even though it makes sense he'd be wearing one on the battlefield.
For a live action movie though I actually think it will work out. I just hope the script is good. __________________
