so i knowe this girl who's obssesed with supes so much that i even call her superman, but she never reads the comic. she loves the supes returns suit. this leads me to wonder if normal people will like it, though i still doubt it.

I don't understand how someone can be obsessed about Superman and not read the comics. It's like my kid that likes to see the movies, but I can't get him to read comics.

I think the general feeling about the suit is that it's too dark. Singer just thought that Superman had to be darker to be more modern. In fact I think it's the opposite, general audiences want to escape reality with a good old fashioned feel good movie completely equipped with the light and bright original costume.

yeah, and i dont see how someone likes a charactyer, and yet, despite there being thousands of stories easy to read and un time consuming, not too costly, and they dont read them.

no offense too your kid tim of the girl you know superdude but i think (with the exception of little kids) most people are just lazy.[smirk]

That's actually true about most of today's generation. Just too lazy to read or some kids are just not very imaginative anymore. They want it all presented in front of them with complete visuals, sound effects, etc. Reading comics I guess is for us old timers who still remember what it was like to read comics on a hot summer day when nothing was on TV. Those were the days.

i'm not a very OLD timer, in fact, i'm hardly (if even) a timer.

I figured you was at least over 25 or so from the way you talked.

Oh well, at least I know there are guys out there reading comics even older than me somewhere. I guess Stan Lee counts, doesn't he?

Is her Obsession with Superman an obsession with the character we all grew up with or is it with the "cute actor in tights" as many of my lady friends are obsessed with?

i havent sen her in about a year, but i'm sayin' it was more of the first choice.
