about a month back i read an article in wizard about batman 2. i thought it'd be cool if we could take batman stories and mesh them together to make batmna 2.

alright mine would probly go...
batman is still fighting off arkham insanos (lead by the scarecrow) and rumors of ra's al ghul's return are floating around while a new threat (joker) keeps leaving clues. meanwhile joker's gang memebers are driving one of bruce waynes few friends insane. harvey dent is running for reelection and numerous attempts to catch mob bosses that have lead to failures are eating away at him. meanwhile the batman closes in on the joker whith gordon's help and they have a first encounter. however this destroys an event where haervey was giving a speech and drives him into futher anger while bruce continues to try and council him.
at this point it launches into "batman the killing joke" wich i havent read yet, but is the number one batman story fans want to see in the sequel. during it, it intertwines harvey's losing his mind
bruce and joker have a final battle in which harvey was bargaining with the joker to cover up files that he's been having sessions with a physciatrist to stop his personality that the papers are now calling big bad harv. a wounded batman gets back to batcave, but not before seeing his (or atleast he thinks he sees) his mentor ra's al ghul "did you really think a train could stop me"
and a closing scene of harevy lyinng in the hospital face half bandaged aboutto be unraveled. a few scrams and bangs and you see the shadow of somone running from the hospital.
credits

i got a lot of it from the two part episode of batman animated series (two face)and i left out a chunk where batman fights joker, but overall i think they should intertwine two face and joker because people love stories about good people turning evil (two face) and they've already promised joker. but they should still keep teasers about ra's al ghul (maybe ghul) and scarecrow ending with the two face scene like spider-man 2 did with the goblin promising that the 3rd installment will have lots of villains. they should also keep up the human interest with bruce and that girl and they definitely need more than one baddie in the movie to keep up with spider-man 3, and giving a whole movie for harvey's turning evil would probably turn out excellent.
but just my thoughts.
hope i dont get disappointed

I like it sounds pretty interesting. You have to throw in a lot of explosions, car chases, action scenes etc though for a big blockbuster Batman movie.

ofcourse i was just lying out the details i thought they should throw in.

How did you fail to tie in the Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman and everything else bar the kitchen sink. I Think you've got far too much plot, too many villains for 1 movie, strip the plot down to bare essentials and bang  loads of action in, keep it to 2 villains.Scare crow still at large either in league with or alongside The Joker (played by Johnny Depp for preference or Ricky Gervais/David Walliam).

Found this on wikipedia

----

In a June 2005 interview with Premiere magazine, Batman Begins screenwriter David S. Goyer said, "The next one would have Batman (Christian Bale) enlisting the aid of Gordon (Gary Oldman) and Dent in bringing down the Joker (Heath Ledger)... but not killing him. In the third movie, the Joker would go on trial, scarring Dent in the process."

Screenplay
The screenplay was written by director Christopher Nolan's brother, Jonathan Nolan (Memento). The screenplay is based on a story co-written by Christopher Nolan and screenwriter David S. Goyer. In a September 2006 interview, Goyer said that screenwriter Jonathan Nolan had completed his draft of the script for The Dark Knight, and director Christopher Nolan was revising the script.[4] In a October 2006 interview, actor Christian Bale mentioned that he had not read the script yet but said of Nolan, "I've got total trust in him, and I have no problem reading the script a week before we start."

Shooting
According to producer Charles Roven, a preshoot will take place in January 2007, and preliminary filming begins in March 2007.  In October 2006, film location manager Robin Higgs visited Liverpool to scout locations, mainly along the city's waterfront, for filming The Dark Knight. Other locations being scouted include Yorkshire, Glasgow, and parts of London

Film score
In an October 2006 interview, Hans Zimmer, who composed the Batman Begins score with James Newton Howard, said that he would be scoring The Dark Knight.

Cast

Confirmed
Actor Role
Christian Bale Bruce Wayne / Batman
Heath Ledger The Joker
Michael Caine Alfred Pennyworth
Gary Oldman James Gordon
Morgan Freeman Lucius Fox

The Joker
On July 31, 2006, Jeff Robinov, the President of Production at Warner Bros. Pictures, officially announced that Heath Ledger would portray the Joker.

Harvey Dent
In a June 2005 interview, Batman Begins screenwriter David S. Goyer revealed that Harvey Dent would be introduced in the sequel. On October 2, 2006, director Christopher Nolan confirmed that Harvey Dent would make an appearance in The Dark Knight, though the role had not been filled yet.

Unconfirmed

Carmine Falcone
Tom Wilkinson, who portrayed gangster Carmine Falcone in Batman Begins, was asked in a December 2005 interview with Empire magazine about his return to the sequel. Wilkinson responded, "Well, my character's mad and possibly dead so I don't think so."

Scarecrow
Cillian Murphy, who portrayed the Scarecrow in Batman Begins, said in an August 2005 interview that he is interested in returning. However, Murphy does not know if he will reprise his role, though he is signed on for possible sequels.

Rachel Dawes
On August 11, 2005, two months after the release of Batman Begins, producer Charles Roven said that Katie Holmes, who portrayed Rachel Dawes in the film, was signed on for the sequel.

Nolan's vision

Title
On July 31, 2006, the title The Dark Knight was revealed by Warner Bros. The Dark Knight is the first live-action Batman film to lack the word Batman in its title. Christian Bale, who portrays Batman, said of the title, "I like, very much, that it doesn't have Batman written in the title. This take on Batman of mine and Chris' is very different from any of the others and everything else always had Batman in the title."[14] According to Christopher Nolan, "The title has been chosen very specifically. It’s quite important to the film." Screenwriter Jonathan Nolan said that the title indicated the dark turn that the sequel would take.

Theme
Director Christopher Nolan said that the sequel's theme would be escalation, continuing how Batman Begins ended with "things having to get worse before they get better". However, Nolan hoped to "attempt to do something very different in the sequel" from Batman Begins since Batman's origin story was now established. Nolan said, "[Bruce Wayne achieved] a certain sense of purpose or a certain resignation, in terms of how his life is going to wind up being dedicated to this — which is something that we begin with." The director added, "...the world itself responds to our actions in ways we don’t anticipate."

The Joker
In an August 2006 interview, director Christopher Nolan said he anticipated to have The Dark Knight's Joker differ from the character that Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson had portrayed. The character was instead based on the Joker from Alan Moore's one-shot comic book Batman: The Killing Joke, as well as the Joker's first two appearances in the Batman comics.[15] Jerry Robinson, one of the co-creators of the basic concept for the Joker in the comics, is involved with the film to consult on how to portray the film's Joker. Heath Ledger described his role as the Joker as "more nuanced and dark and more along the lines of a Clockwork Orange kind of feel. Which is... what the comic book was after: less about his laugh and more about his eyes". The comic Batman #1, referenced in part by Nolan, details the Joker as having "burning, hate-filled eyes", tying into Ledger's description.[21]

Casting interests
In a June 2005 interview, director Christopher Nolan said that he would not include Robin in the franchise because Christian Bale was still portraying a "young Batman", which meant Robin was "still in a crib somewhere". Nolan also said in an October 2006 interview that the Penguin would not be involved, either, explaining, "There are certain characters that are easier to mesh with the more real take on Batman we're doing." Nolan also dismissed that Sean Penn and Ryan Phillippe had been considered for the roles of the Joker and Harvey Dent.

Before Heath Ledger was confirmed to play the Joker, several actors publicly expressed interest in the role, including Paul Bettany, Lachy Hulme, Adrien Brody, and Robin Williams. Similarly, actors Liev Schreiber and Josh Lucas have expressed interest in the role of Harvey Dent.
