The Intervention Part 3
3 days later: Residing SDL Presidential Office
...I hate secrets and lies Captain- says Time-Rider.
John, I’m not a fan of secrets either-replies Captain Freedom- I disagree that this is a “lie” though; I’d say it’s more a closely held secret.
I’ve seen too many “secrets” become “lies” Captain.
As have I Time-Rider. We have to just be above all of this and do what’s right. You know in your heart that the Doomsday Watch is right; we have to have the courage to act on that fact despite our personal reservations.
I know Cap, I know. Seems like we’re both trying to convince each other it’s the right thing to do, and ultimately it is, but our morals keep getting in the way.
It’s who we are Time-Rider, and decisions like this are what we’ve spent our lives preparing for.
OK. We’ve both talked to the Doomsday Watch separately about this. They expressed the desired final outcome for Blackhorn, but everything between here and there is up to us. We’ve had a few days to strategize independently. Are we ready to mesh our plans?
Yes Time-Rider. In some ways I hope out individual plans are drastically different as it may expose weaknesses in both. Our amalgamation plan then should be the best option.
Agreed Cap. Let’s put our noggins together and get this figured out...
So we agree that Cyber-Jack, by virtue of his previous alternate reality travels and probable need for dimensional retrieval assistance, along with Professor Crow, will be the only others that will know the transfer plan.
Agreed Time-Rider. Just like when we kept Stealth Group 4 under wraps during the Darkness conclusion, we need those in the know to be a small and finite group. As we said back in WW2, “loose lips sink ships...”
Sounds like a secret.
Come on John, not again.
I’m just teasing Captain. After hashing this over with you, I’m in total agreement with this “secret”. It’s the only way. Let’s get the Doomsday Watch on the horn and steer them to our plan...
