Heath Ledger has been cast as The Joker that's what I've read on the net. So what's the Joker going to threaten Batman with a big kiss on the lips or make him watch Brokeback 5 times? Ledger was the guy that did the whole cowboy thing on Brokeback and single handedly caused John Wayne to turn over in his grave. I would really think though that the Joker would be older and meaner besides. This guy wasn't that tough when he was playing roles like the Patriot with Mel Gibson and that was a war movie. Just think compare crazy Jack Nicholson to Heath Ledger. It's like comparing Pee Wee Herman to Arnold. Honestly Ledger as a threat to Batman!? Just don't see it, but acting is acting I suppose. [sad] I'll still watch the movie and all but I do think they could have hired somebody that might come across better as definite threat to Bats like Jack or even Arnold again. Arnie was good he couldn't help his script wasn't that good.

for batman 2? no way, check your facts he's too young and just not right. the cowboy junk was jacked up, but he did do great in a knight's tale. tyhat was a great movie you gotta see it if you havent. but as the joker, NO WAY!!!! i thinkn they'd be better off with a nobody actor to avoid early negative controversy over the movie like they did with superman returns' costume.[smirk] __________________ "You...complete me."

Yeah that's what I read check it out http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/news.php?id=4311 Well I did think that Knight's Tale was good and that Patriot movie he played in with Mel Gibson. But even with that he's just too much of a baby face looking dude to play a maniacal murdering psycho. He doesn't even have a voice that sounds very threatening.

i heard it from somewhere else too, it seems official. i agree man, he's got a young boys face and he's not a murdering too skinny to look normal physco. the only question now is...who's gonna doctor his photo up with white skin to give us a first pic.[smirk] __________________ "You...complete me."

I think they should have gotten that skinny guy from King Kong that tried to save the girl at the end. He played on a real dark movie about a soldier who get's trapped in a insane asylum and ends up in the future somehow. I can't remember the name of that movie but I think he would have been better.

he was considered i read, but if you look at the joker in frank miller's dark knight returns' books, it's easier to picture him as the joker. he's got a wider jaw and shorter hair there. __________________ "You...complete me."

I AGREE! HEATH LEDGER DOESN'T SEEM LIKE THE TYPE TO PLAY BATMANS MOST POPULAR VILLIAN! YOU SEE THE FIRST 4 BATMAN (3 OF WHICH TIM BURTON DIRECTED OR PRODUCED) WAS GETTING KINDA GAY-ISH, WITH THE NIPPLES AND ALL. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I WATCHED THEM AND LIKED THE FIRST 3! AND I LOVE TIM BURTON! BUT WHAT I'M GETTING AT IS WHAT I THINK CHRISTOPHER NOLAN IS TRYING TO DO, IS MAKE THE NEW BATMANS MORE LIKE THE COMIC BOOKS, AND MAKE IT A LITTLE BIT MORE DARKER AND TWISTED. WHICH CHRISTIAN BALE DID A GREAT JOB OF DOING! SO I THINK THE NEW JOKER SHOULD BE SOMEONE WHO CAN PLAY HIM AS MEAN, EVIL, TWISTED, DARK, DIMENTED...etc.

The Dark Night not only made up for all the crappy other Batman Films (Batman Forever,Batman and Robin).
