hey from now on, if it's a review, i'll ark the title with *

Ok, the first story, "Blind Leading the Blind" was pretty good.  Miller pencilled this one.  It as his first work on Daredevil and probably Spider-man too.  It's from spectacular spidey 27&28.  Spidey's blinded, DD helps him, your classic spidey comic from that era.

The next story was an Amazing Spider-man annual with spidey and doc strange.  This had a lot of dialogue throughout and dealed with demons, different zones, all that stuff, but basicly spidey had to rescue doc strange from a nerd who was working for doc doom.  problem was, finding doc strange.  Not the best story.

Next (and this is out of memory since i'm at the library and the book's at home) there was a marvel teamup spidey and the fantastic four.  it was about a mind reader from korea who posesses spidey and tries to capture her brother and sister form their evil uncle,(currently hosting a charity event that the ff are at) anyway, the ff stop him as spidey regains control, and etc. etc. they find the posessor. eventually this leads to her evil brother possesing the ff so spidey has to fight them off while trying to stop the brother. and rescue the original mind reader's (she's a girl by the way) younger bro and sis.  ovrall this story kind of dragged on and on and on and on. it was OK. (miller also just oencilled this one)
The next one miller actually wrote but dfidnt pencil it. it was a team up involving spidey, moon knight, iron fist, power man (luke cage), and daredevil.  Purple man (persuader as seen in new avengers breakout) is involved, and so's kingpin, nuff' said.  this story was actually pretty good.  purple man sets a whole city on our heroes who ofcourse, find a way and set everything OK.
The enxt story involved the punisher, doc ock, and ofcoursew, spidey.  frank only pencilled this one.  punisher was awesome as doc ock plns to kill five million by poisining the daily bugle's ink.  meanwhile jonah jameson gets calls throughout the story from ben urich and peter, "get ready to replate that front page, jonah, i've got a real story."  punisher shows ow good he is by taking out spidey's web shooters during a mid air jump.  and has an awesome line rarely seen in that era of comics.  when faced with having to shoota young cop, or go to jail he concedes,
punisher--"you guys may not believe this, but i'm on you're side,"
cop--"tell it to the judge,"
pun--"i will and he wont believe me,"
cop--"you bet he won't"
pun--(wiht a smirk)"that's OK, there's lots of criminals in prison"

overall the graphic novel had its ups and downs, and if you're into reading comics when they still had thought bubbles, or early to mid 80s books, you'll like this.
RATING: 7.9

I've got the Peter Parker issue and the last two Marvel Teamups. The Pawns of the Purple Man was a decent story. Marvel Teamup 100 like you said was a little boring. I remember reading the Purple Man story a lot when I was a kid. Back then I would get a comic book and read it 50 times.

We didn't have 24 hour cartoon channels so entertainment was found more in good old comics.

i never really get around to readin em' twice unles i have the graphic novel, because new comics are so often now, and i like to keep the condition.
i did read the human torch two parter in ultimate spidey twice though. i'd like to start collecting hardbacks though, but it's hard to cough up $20 to reprints.

I think I've become quite an expert at reading a comic without causing damage to the condition. When I was a kid though I used to practically destroy comics no matter how hard I tried to preserve their condition. I guess I probably drug them around everywhere I went back then. I read them in the car, on the porch, in the yard, at school just about everywhere you can think of.

which reminds me, you can thank public libraries for half of the reviews i give, i'd never buy the complete fm spidey, or elektra lives again, but to check them out is a whole other thing.

Cool library you have there. You can actually read graphic novels for free? I haven't been to a library in a few years since I was taking some college classes.
