Bad News for Blade - First the Blade TV Series was canceled now it's movie star is in trouble. Yahoo News Clip _____________________________ Actor Wesley Snipes was indicted Tuesday on eight counts of tax fraud, accused of trying to cheat the government out of nearly $12 million in false refund claims and not filing returns for six years. Prosecutors said Snipes fraudulently claimed refunds totaling nearly $12 million in 1996 and 1997 on income taxes already paid. The star of the "Blade" trilogy and other films including "Jungle Fever" and "White Men Can't Jump" was also charged with failure to file returns from 1999 through 2004. According to the indictment, Snipes had his taxes prepared by accountants with a history of filing false returns to reap payments for their clients. The firm American Rights Litigators would receive 20 percent of refunds from clients, according to the indictment. _________________________________ Just heard on Fox that the Feds couldn't find him. That can't be good. Think he's guilty or there a logical explanation for all this.

Fox news just said Snipes is out of the country filming a movie. Wonder if he's going to make it back to the states now? Seems like his lawyers ought to be doing something.

Snipes arrested today Dec 8, 06. He made a deal and will be allowed to get back on a plane to finish a movie he's working on out of the country. Snipes will be having a press conference around 1:30 today. Fox News will probably have the conference as they have been showing clips from Blade and going over the above story.

He's already working on his movie again, but he'll have to go to court and if he gets convicted it would be bad.

He says he's innoccent that he asked too many questions and the fact he's a black male didn't help him. Personally, I hope he doesn't go to jail, but I don't think he's completely innoccent. It's possible he got the wrong accountants, but he ain't in trouble because it's a conspiracy or something.
