Plot
Magneto, whose family is killed by the Nazis in World War II, seeks revenge for their deaths and meets Charles Xavier
Magneto was announced by Tom Rothman. Sir Ian McKellen is expected to return for the title role, with producer Lauren Shuler Donner commenting, "What's a Magneto movie without Ian?"
On the prospect of his return, McKellen has stated that if produced, both he and Patrick Stewart would in fact be portraying the younger versions of their characters through a special effect that apparently is able to make the two actors whole decades younger. This same technique is used in the opening scene of X-Men: The Last Stand.
