He's not controlling what era he shows up in yet, but by the end of the story in issue 4, he's pretty certain he can make it to 1941 to save his brother.

So so far he's got to save his brother Luke. At some point he needs to find his friend Jake, and of course there is the mystery of Jill his future wife living in 1960, and just who Windfire is for sure.

And all of this is still part of his memories because remember he's still stuck in 1971 in a world that looks like it's been through a global war.

The big question is can he change something that has already happened. His brother is dead. What happens if he does save him, or will something stop him no matter what he tries.

Basically the big question is, can a man cheat destiny?

So what are your thoughts on Windfire?

Pretty impressive, Tim.  My friend Scott McClung on comicspace.com also uses 3-D artwork.  He created the poster for my Leo and Virgo super-hero play, which alas was not picked up by Samuel French.

I liked the scenes with lots of dialogue best.  To me, the real trick of being an artist/writer is being able to use a lot of words and panels at the same time.  You may wish to emphasize that more in your future stories.

This story reminded me of the Sapphire and Steel audio story The Lighthouse in which the tale was told in different timelines that had merged together.
I'll post more about S and S on time-travel heroes and TV.  Howard

Thanks, I know what you mean about more dialogue. I like issues where there are more things to read.

Seems today's books are more art than words though.

I'll definitely keep that in mind though. It's helpful to get people's opinions to know which direction to go in.

to me, good things like your run of the mill spidey comic with not too much dialogue are the most fun to read, but ones with a fine balance with each character having their own type and amount of dialogue are the greatest comic books ever. (watchmen for example)

I guess somethings thing to consider are whether or not the dialogue is fun to read, realistic for the character in question, whether or not it adds to the story, and appropriate for the situation.
Superhero Collectibles
Batman Captain America
Daredevil Fantastic Four
Hulk Iron Man Indiana Jones
Justice League Spider-man
Star Trek Star Wars
Superman TMNT
Transformers
Wonder Woman X-men
