Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer writer) lost the script writing chores to the new Wonder Woman movie. Matthew Jennison and Brent Strickland are the new writers and they already have a script done from what I've read, and it's a period piece set in World War II.
I actually like that idea better. Whedon was said to have not even wanted the classic Wonder Woman costume. Lord only knows what would have been next, maybe Steve Trevor would have been a girl for crying out loud!

After getting rid of Whedon I didn't think they had a girl playing Wonder Woman picked out. Got a picture of her?
