I don't want to go into too much detail and ruin it for anyone, but needless to say the Civil War is over in Spider-Man 538, and the Kingpin has ordered a gunman to go after Spider-Man.
Somebody Peter Parker loves gets shot. This issue leads into the Black in Black storyline beginning next month.
