Chapter 20; Riots

Meanwhile, back at Lee's house, Anemoi, what Alexa chose to be called, is running through a training simulation with 2 other outfitted heroes. Her costume, much like Ohm's, is a black jumpsuit with an occasional grey wind pattern. The jumpsuit is cut off at the shoulders and on her arms and shins are silver bracelets. Her mask covers just her eyes and has the same design. A figure pops up behind Anemoi, and fires a lime colored liquid at it, the figure is melted almost instantly. 'Thanks Oxi' Anemoi yells as she creates a dust devil to destroy the other targets. Before she launches it a ball of flame obliterates them, 'Try to keep up!' Pyra yells in pride flying overhead, a blast of air destroys a target right in front of Pyra, 'Try to keep up!' Anemoi yells back smirking. The training session ends and they walk into the observation room.
Stan: Not bad, but you need to work more like a team, using each others strength to each others advantages--
Pyra: And what about Ohm? When are you going to tell him about this little group?
Stan: Well--
Oxidro: Ohm seemed more of the lone wolf type; you'll think he'll be ok with joining this team?
Stan: (Thinking for a moment) If he encounters what I think he'll encounter out there, then he'll except any amount of help he can get. (An alert shoes on the monitor) Meanwhile one of you better get over to 12th street, Amp broke out of jail, and wants a little revenge.
Oxidro: I'll take it; (Looking at the girls) I think these two need to settle a little rivalry. (He walks out leaving a fiery stare between Pyra and Anemoi).
Oxidro walks out side and gets into his car, remodeled and accessorized by Lee. Oxidro's costume, also much like Ohm's, is a black jumpsuit with dark green boots and gloves. His mask covers his entire head except for his eyes and mouth . His sleek black car has a green liquid splatter paint job on the front, Will went all out. Driving off into the city, he sees Amp blasting a bank, turning around, Amp sees Oxidro step out of the car.
Amp: What? Where's Ohm?
Oxidro: Not here, he's got better things to do. Is it ok if I arrest you today?
Amp: No not really.
Amp blasts Oxidro, temporarily knocking him back, he dissolves into a puddle of base solution, a new technique he learned while training with Lee. Sliding in the cracks of the ground, Oxidro makes his way towards Amp when he sends a dose of hyper sound waves into the ground. Oxidro is knocked back out of ground and out of liquid form. While still in the air, Oxidro launches two small balls of acid at Amp before crashing into the truck. Amp tries to dodge but his wrist devices are disintegrated on contact. 'You loose.' Oxidro says as he gets up, police cars arrive on the scene and load Amp into the police van.
Officer: (Looking at Oxidro) Who are you?
Oxidro: Oxidro's the name.
Officer: Great, just what we need, another whacko in a costume.
Oxidro: (A little annoyed) Wow, you think you'd be a little nicer considering I just did you job for you.
Oxidro gets back in his car and screeches off the scene. Back at Lee's house, Pyra and Anemoi are going through a training session when another alert goes out that Drake is stealing confidential equipment from a local military base. Lee sends both Pyra and Anemoi to go just incase Drake has gotten stronger. Arriving at the base the two girls are still trying to settle their rivalry.
Pyra: You won't land a hit on this Drake character.
Anemoi: At least I won't be snuffed out.
Their quarrel continues until an explosion knocks them both flat on their backs. They both gain their surroundings in just enough time to see a tank come falling at them. Rolling in opposite directions, they both dodge the tank in perfect synchronism as a maniacal laughter sounds overhead. Drake stands triumphantly on the nearby building with a black device next to his feet.
Drake: Hahaha! Ohm sends two little ladies to fight his battles? Stay out of my way and I'll kill you both quickly.
Anemoi: We're not the ones loosing today! (As tough as she tries to sound, Drake smirks in knowing that she's shaken up by his ominous looks)
Pyra: Less talking, more hitting!
She leaps into a blazing assault on Drake, as she nears Drake thrusts his knee into her gut taking away her air. Turning around, he hook kicks her into the helicopter, igniting the entire thing. Pyra falls out half conscience. 'Where's that fiery attitude now?' Drake yells in pride. Anemoi's turn, Anemoi creates two halves of a tornado smashing together where Drake is levitating. Drake spins around being hit by debris here and there, suddenly he stops in mid spin and laughs at the pitiful attempt. Bringing he knees up, and his arms in, he compacts himself into a small figure. During this, Pyra gradually gets up and sets the tornado ablaze making an incredible firestorm. In the center, Drake is crouched absorbing dark energy and in one quick motion, he extends all his limbs letting loose a blast of dark energy that knocks Pyra and Anemoi into military crafts unconscious along with destroying half of the complex. Before the blast can reach the device sitting up top of the building, Drake swoops down at super speed and grabs it flying off into the night.
When the girls regain conscience about an hour later, they look at each other depressed and fly slowly back to Lee's house. They arrive to see the Oxidro already returned and starting a training session, the girls walk into the training room; Pyra has one arm draped over Anemoi as they limp inside, and both of them look like they went a couple rounds with the Hulk.
Stan: Ho boy. Oxi, get the medical kit, both of you, come and lie down here.
Oxidro: Geez, what happened you two?
Anemoi: Drake...was ju--ah. (She grabs her shoulder) Just too--strong. (Both girls slip once again into unconsciousness)
Oxidro: Stan, who is Drake?
Stan: A powerful opponent of Ohm who uses dark matter and negative energy as a power source.
Oxidro: I'll look up what he stole, that should give us a clue on what he's planning on.
Stan: Will, let me know if you find anything.
Oxidro: Of course, I hope Ohm is doing better then we are...
