Chapter 23; Action

A few days have passed since Mike and the group have introduced themselves to each other. Now, they're in a new training simulator Lee built, bigger, completely underground, and hidden from public eye. A clock next to Lee in the upstairs room shows 10:00 P.M. The 4 heroes are training in an advanced level, as they fight through the course, they come to realize that they're more powerful as a team then they ever thought they'd be. But would it be enough for the upcoming battle? As they walk out of the simulation, Lee calls them over the intercom in a shuddered voice. The group heads up to the house, and into the meeting room.
Oxidro: What's the matter?
Stan: What Ohm feared. (Ohm looks at the T.V. news screen in awe)
Lakes: We've received several reports of an unidentified craft hovering above the Times Square area. Driving on scene now is Karina Brooks--Karina can you here me? (The screen turns to Times square where everyone is out of the street, and standing on the side walks looking up and pointing)
- Karina: Yes, Trianna I can hear you. It's a sight to see, this odd space craft has appeared hovering over Times Square, the streets are silent as if they're waiting for the ship to do something. Whoa. Ladies and Gentlemen, the craft just lowered itself for a decent shot:
Ohm: That looks like a bigger version if the ship I couldn't catch, it must have been a scout.
- Karina: I talked to a few people who have been here for a while and they said it just came straight out of the sky, as if the ship came from space. Government officials arrived on the scene about 10 minutes ago blocking off all access to the Times Square area...There currently seems to be a small light coming out of the center of the craft. Oh my god, it's projecting some sort of 3-Demensional hologram in the middle of the street.
- Karina: I've never scene anything like this in my life; people are taking pictures all around. Being around this place you just get a bad, uneasy feeling...As if something bad is going to happen.
Ohm: (Rewinding the T.V. to the Symbols) Stan, work on deciphering that, the rest of you come with me.
Stan heads back down to his lab and starts copying the text into a pattern recognition program. This program's beta version was used in the world wars in order to break codes coming from enemy sources. The screen scans through the text time after time, testing different translations. Meanwhile, all suited up, the team heads out side, Oxidro gets into his bike, same design as his car, and sounds then engine speeding off towards Times Square, Ohm, Pyra, and Anemoi follow. Upon arrival, Ohm stops next to one of the generals.
General: Ohm, good, maybe you can shed some light on the situation at hand. What do these symbols mean?
Ohm: You got me, a friend of mine is working on it. (Beep) Ohm here...uh huh...ho boy, alright thank you. It seems the symbols say, "Bring us the one called Lectrohm or your world will be destroyed."
General: (Looking at Ohm with a raised eyebrow) Looks like they don't kid around.
Ohm: Apparently not. (Walking up underneath the ship.) I'm here, what do you want? (He yells)
The symbols disappear and an alien voice comes on a sort of intercom system. A second later it speaks in English.
Voice: We have absorbed data based on your verbal communication and have translated our language into one that you can understand. Lectrohm, the reason for which we commanded you to come is due to the fact that you must die.
Ohm: (Mumbles) Why am I not surprised... Why?! (Louder) What have I done?!
Voice: You are a failed experiment and must be terminated. As a result, your planet knows too much and must be destroyed, any failure to comply will result in the immediate enslaving of the planet and ultimately destruction.
The holographic beam now disappears and a red beam is shot in Ohm's direction, pushing the General and himself out of the way, the beam drags along the ground obliterating it. The ship now begins to move toward Ohm and he flies up and away from the city with the ship following. Miles away from civilians, Ohm faces the ship dodging beam after beam. He then enters hyper speed spinning around the ship, and in a blink of an eye, flies back to Times Square, leaving the ship in his dust. He speeds down to Pyra who is helping injured people from the first blast onto to stretchers.
Ohm: How is everyone?
Pyra: Only three people hurt, what did that tin can mean by "failed" experiment?
Ohm: Don't know, stay here with the guards. (Flying up to a roof top, Ohm presses a button on the communicator, and the light turns blue.) Ron? How far are you from ground zero?
Ron: Almost there, situation?
Ohm: Well--
Ohm is cut short by an announcement over the loud speaker. 'Fool, you dare challenge my legion? We created you, and we know how to destroy you! My troops will take all of this city, along with the planet under my control for your insolence.' Something catches Ohm's eye as an army of creatures fly into the city. These creatures are browned skin, and look somewhat human. Each one varies from 8-9 feet tall, and have mechanical wings built into their black vests. Their head, fatter than a humans, shows an array of sharp teeth and huge pure black bulging eyes. All of their clothing looks black and plasmatic, and each shows a muscular complexity. Rolling on the ground through buildings are giant wheels about 3 stories tall with spiked metal protruding from the wheels. Turrets on both sides of the wheel launch energy blasts at everything in sight.
Ron: Ohm? What is it?
Ohm: --hurry the hell up. (Switching off the communicator Ohm flies down to the others) Oxidro! Pyra! Focus on the wheels! Anemoi! Take out the troops!
The group springs into action, Oxidro beings to change his body into the acid creature from before, now with his control, he's as tall as a 2 story house and raises his acidity to a dangerously high level. A blast of acid melts through one of the wheels, and he runs up to another throwing his poisonous self right through the wheel. Pyra creates a large flame thrower to sear through another wheel, in retaliation, the wheel launches a blast of energy at Pyra then another and another. Dodging she sears off the turret, and fires a ball of molten lava through the center. Flying inside, she unleashes her fiery self and ignites the machine. Meanwhile, Ohm's scatter shots energy blasts knocking aliens here and there out of the sky. He gets jumped from behind and sends pure electricity through his body electrocuting the alien as well. Flying up, Ohm lets loose powerful lighting bolts from his body striking the aliens who are in mid-air. Anemoi hovers in front one of the alien battalions, they try to charge her but she blows them back with the force of a twister, some of the aliens swoop down and take out some sort of gun, firing smaller blasts of energy similar to those of the turrets, not noticing them, Anemoi, get's hit and falls to the ground. One alien has a 2 pronged spear with energy flowing through it, he holds it over his head for the kill strike...

Just a few legal things to clear up here, the ship is taken from some Star Trek site I found online while searching for space ships. Also, the message is Pre-Crisis Kryptonian flipped upside down and mirrored. other parts of the story is based on DC comics, if I told you, it would kind of ruin the image.
