Chapter 24; Rally

Anemoi is hit by the gun blast and falls to the ground. Holding the energy spear above him, the alien prepares for the kill strike. The alien thrusts the spear down with all his might and out of nowhere another, familiar, spear knocks it away from the alien. Looking up, the alien and Anemoi see The Wraith standing on the edge of a building.
 (Better picture to come!)
Running down the side of the wall, Wraith seizes Anemoi from the horde of Aliens surrounding her. Leaping on to a nearby building, he sets her down.
Wraith: You ok?
Anemoi: I think so--
Ohm: (Levitating down to him) About time, ready for some action?
Wraith: (Cracking his neck and knuckles) I have been so itching for a fight. (Smirking)
Wraith takes out an axe and leaps off the building smashing alien after alien on his way down. Bouncing off a flagpole, he throws a few modified throwing stars exploding on impact with the aliens, multiple blasts from Ohm knock out another group, and in perfect synchronism both Wraith and Ohm turn around; Wraith launches a liquid star that explodes in a fountain of rain over a charging pack of the aliens, Ohm blasts it with electricity, amplified by the water, the electrocuted aliens fall straight out of the sky.
Oxidro: (Next to Pyra) Wow. They're good.
Pyra: (Looking at the oncoming aliens) Our turn.
Oxidro runs toward the group of aliens, sliding underneath them. He flips over spraying a flammable liquid all over the aliens. Pyra ignites her self a flies straight through the horde in a streak of flame, igniting the aliens. Emerging from the end, she heads toward another wheel, holding her hands out, she creates a small ball of plasma launching it through the wheel, she flies out of the way just into time to see the explosion.
More wheels roll into the city accompanied by another army of aliens, this time some are in alien like tanks. 'Payback' Anemoi says. Anemoi free falls off the building and starts to spin rapidly creating a whirl wind around her. Inside the tornado, she flies through numerous wheels destroying each one, levitating one of the wheels in a powerful wind cycle; she tosses it into the aliens who are racing towards her. Ohm lands on the ground speeding towards the tanks, grabbing the tri-turrets on top, he bends the alien metal so they point inside. 'Always wanted to do that.' Ohm says smirking. Lifting the tanks he launches towards another which explode on contact. Wraith presses a button on his wrist and his ship above drops Wraith's bike, speeding up a wall, he back flips onto it in mid-air riding it down the side of an alien wheel. Fish-tailing on landing, he lets loose an arsenal of missiles onto three looming wheels. As they explode, the wheels freeze almost instantaneously.
Pyra: (Flying down) What was that?
Wraith: Fermionic gas. It cools anything it touches within a couple degrees of absolute zero. (Wraith speeds off on his bike toward more aliens)
Pyra: (Shivering) And they say I'm scary.
Pyra flies back up torching a couple oncoming aliens. Ohm is back to back with Anemoi fighting the surrounding aliens, arms locked, both Anemoi and Ohm start to spin, as Anemoi creates the twister, Ohm launches numerous lighting bolts at the surrounding enemies, shaking his head, 'Let's not ever do that again.' Ohm says. Oxidro's arms become an acidic liquid and he extends them into a horde of aliens knocking them back in burning pain. More aliens arrive, but these ones are different, they are identical to the other but are grey-skinned and bronze plated. Oxidro launches ball after ball of acid at the new invaders but to no prevail, they simply shrug off the attack.
Oxidro is knocked out from behind by one of the grey aliens and instantly teleported away. Across the street, Wraith looks just in time to see them disappear. 'No!' he yells taking out his sword, shimmering in the light, a type of writing can be seen on the blade, and he speeds toward the aliens. Confident of their superiority, they allow the Wraith to hit them. Wrong move. Wraith easily slahes a grey alien in half, armor and all; shook up, the other aliens look at each other, then charge Wraith, smirking, he charges back sword in hand. Ohm and a grey alien land next to Wraith, who's surrounded by unconscious and dead aliens, struggling Ohm kicks the creature skyward.
Ohm: (Getting up) Where's Oxi?
Wraith: He was grabbed by one of the creatures, and teleported somewhere. (The alien Ohm kicked falls back down, Ohm holds his hand straight up, palm up, he catches the creature delivering a devastating blow to the spine. Ohm tosses him aside)
Ohm: Damn, (Looking over his shoulder, he sees a few charging aliens and Pyra blasting one of the tanks) Where's--
Before Ohm can finish the two look up at a building to see Anemoi caught 2 grey aliens. Before Ohm can super speed after her, a blue aura surrounds them and they teleport away instantly. Pyra is sent flying into the building side next to Ohm and Wraith by an alien tank's blast. She falls out on her knees then on her stomach. Ohm kneels beside Pyra, then looks at Wraith, and finally he looks at the endless armada of aliens and makes a bold decision.
Ohm: Fall back.
Pyra: (Getting up) What?! We can't run away from this!
Ohm: We need a new strategy. Wraith, give us some cover.
Wraith nods and takes three spikes and a couple of smoke bombs out. He launches the spikes which explodes at the feet of the approaching aliens stopping them for a second. Wraith then throws down the smoke bombs at their own feet. Immediately after they cloud up the street, Ohm takes both Pyra and wraith with him at hyper speed up to Wraith's ship. Wraith runs to controls and flies off in stealth mode away from the invaders...
