Chapter 26; Opposition

Kalinro: Your time is up! (He holds up a huge alien gun setting a few settings on it. Something to the right of the doorway catches Wraith's eye) Prepare to die.
Time-Rider: Prepare this!
Flying through a portal, Time-Rider side kicks Kalinro knocking him down the corridor. He activates his TAB device slowing down time around him, a fist slowly comes toward him, and grabbing it, he flips the creature over head first straight into the wall. Another slowly pulls his gun; Time-Rider grabs the gun and elbows the creature in the face with the same arm knocking him back. He uses the gun and shoots the third and final alien back, and tosses the gun aside. The other alien lands on the floor and just as he bounces a little Time-Rider drop kicks him.
Time-Rider turns to Wraith, 'Tell Ohm TR says hi' with that, a portal materializes in front of him and he jumps through with it closing behind him.
Wraith: (A little confused) Now's our chance, move!
The three heroes run out of the room, and Wraith plants one last device on the wall. Aliens come out from the sides and Anemoi blasts them back with gusts of wind. As they head through the corridors, they find a dozen or so grey aliens blocking the way.
Lead grey alien: Any last words humans?
Wraith: Yeah, you can kiss-my-axe!
Wraith pulls out his axe and hacks away with speed and skill at the aliens. Minutes later, the group runs through the piles of aliens back to Wraith's bike, an electrocuted alien lies next to it still smoking. 'Don't touch my bike' Wraith mumbles, he gets on and revs the engine, Oxidro hops on behind him. They screech out into the hallway and down the ramp of the ship just in time to see hundreds of dead or unconscious alien bodies littering the ground. Ohm slowly walks back to them reverting to normal.
Ohm: Well?
Wraith: Ready, by the way, a "TR" saved us from Kalinro? (Pyra flies by over head and lands)
Ohm: Time-Rider, where is he?
Oxidro: He jumped through some sort of portal.
Ohm: (Shaking his head) Alright, Kalinro?
Wraith: Head honcho, alien leader, wants to kill you--
Kalinro: (Walking down the ramp looking at his beaten minions. His face is red with fury) I will kill you myself!
Ohm: (The group gets ready to fight) No. (They look at him, he smirks) Time to meet my maker.
Pyra: That's a bad thing.
Ohm: Not really, I'm going to show him what he created.
With that, Kalinro rushes Ohm, and as soon as he is about to hit, Ohm flips over him in a ball and back kicks Kalinro in the back. Ohm lands perfectly, and Kalinro flies into the debris of one of his tanks. Ohm turns around and speeds toward him, getting up, Kalinro back fists Ohm in the head, grabbing Kalinro's head with his feet, Ohm flips Kalinro head first into the ground. He gets up and throws punch after punch at Ohm, each one is dodged by Ohm, but unexpectedly Kalinro kicks Ohm hard in the chest and is sent through a nearby sky scraper on the edge of Central Park. Kalinro's jetpack activates and he flies after him and with both fists together, he delivers a second blow to the gut. Ohm falls down to the ground creating a crater in the street; Kalinro levitates down and squints into the dust. Ohm flies out with an uppercut and super fast and short punches to the stomach and a final round house kick to Kalinro's head sending him flying into the steel grating of a construction zone.
Kalinro: (Getting up) You fight well--for a dead human.
Ohm: Dead? (Holding out his hand and smirking) Feel my pulse.
Ohm blasts an energy beam at Kalinro; he takes the blast straight on not feeling a thing. 'We've updated our armor to be immune to all of our creation's powers he gloats. Ohm puts 2 hands into it and triples the power with extreme focus. Kalinro crosses his arms, 'Still nothing'. A glint appears in Ohm's eyes, thunder roars overhead, his hair waves and eyes turn gold, and his power gradually begins to increase. Suddenly he yells out in rage and his beam takes on it's rare blue aura, Kalinro gasps 'What?!' and blocks with his arms, 'Looks like you evolved a little, this can't be from the transformation!' Ohm still struggles, the beam is now as thick as Kalinro is tall, about 10 ft, and Ohm closes his eyes and empties his mind.
He feels a hand on his shoulder, but retains his focus. The black figure from his incident years ago stands behind him whispering, 'Tap into it, unleash it, he only played a minute role in your creation, you decide who you become.' He phases away and Ohm thinks to himself, 'You want power Kalinro? Take it!' Ohm suddenly opens his eyes in a furious expression and yells, 'Take it all!' The beam turns from gold with the blue aura to a pure crimson color with gold lightning fluctuating around it. This new beam proves too much for Kalinro, 'AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH!' he yells as he is blasted far into the ground below. The beam thins out and Ohm returns to normal, floating to the ground he's met by his stunned companions. Ohm falls on his back panting, but smiling.
Anemoi: That was--
Oxidro: --amazing.
Wraith: (Picking him up and throwing Ohm's arm over his shoulder) C'mon.
A final battalion of aliens come running towards the group, 'We got it.' Anemoi says, and Anemoi, Oxidro, and Pyra fly off battling the creatures. Wraith takes a device out of his utility belt and press the button, the light blinks red, and all of the lights on the devices throughout the ship start to blink red. Wraith looks to Ohm and he nods, with that, Wraith presses the button again and it turns red with a continuous beep, all of the devices continually beep as well. A second later multiple explosions erupt on the ship and it falls straight down into the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir (Latitude: 40°47'14.19"N Longitude: 73°57'54.47"W) with a huge splash. Tossing aside the last aliens, the other three walk back to Wraith and Ohm. Ambulances and police cars screech on scene, the group heads over to an ambulance where Ohm is set down. Wraith hands Oxidro the alien disc for later use in cracking the code. Ohm sees Oxidro talking to an officer, and then gradually slips into unconscious.
Ohm wakes up to find himself on Lee's couch, shaking his head he looks around at his friends talking. He hears Alexa yell he's up and gradually Ohm sits up.
Ron: How do ya' feel man?
Ohm: Like I just went 10 rounds with Hercules. (Slightly smiling) Here give me a second. (He zips out the door and a second later returns in his casual clothes)
Summer: That was one wicked display of power you showed in that fight. Where'd it come from?
Mike: I don't know, I'm just glad it's over with.
Stan: Here's to that. (Raising his glass, Mike grabs one and they all do the same)
Mike: What about the mess out there?
Will: I volunteered us to help out with clean up once you got a little better. Should probably rest for a little bit. (Mike nods)
Ron: I was lucky enough to find the main frame computer on the ship as soon as I entered. I did what I could and an alien like disc ejected itself after what looked like it had copied some files. It might help you understand everything a little more.
Mike: Alright I'll look into it later, but please, no more aliens for today. (They laugh)
They continue talking and having fun, twilight falls as the sun goes down. Mike stands outside on the porch enjoying the view. Stan's cooks prepared a great meal that can be smelled throughout the entire house, and Will walks up next to Mike.
Will: I went upstairs a while back and was able to translate the files--
Mike: --Aw Will, it's a party; don't bother yourself with this now.
Will: Hear me out first, it does have a lot of information on you, and all the experiments for that matter, but it covers something a little disturbing about Alexa, you might want to take a look at it and decide if you want to tell her not.
Mike: (Looking at Will suspiciously) Alright, I will. But tonight is off for aliens ok? I'll check it out tomorrow.
Will nods and the they walk back inside to join the others in a victory feast.
