Thanks for the compliment.

The first 5 were rather good, but then with the introduction of the ATTA and the character crossovers and the Lost guys and whatever - frankly it just lost me.  Why not focus on the single character development instead of adding in the all the action which quite frankly doesn't look that good?  I might continue reading, but I'm halfway through 8 and really rather bored with it all...

Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. I think you may be right. Although I want to have all these characters in the stories. It's a hard chore doing them all justice.

In the next issue I'm working on will be more centered around Time-Rider, and will have a little more character development in it. I'm taking my time with it so to speak. I want it to be just right. So keep reading, and keep letting me know what you think.

You know, this all touches on the issue of a good comic... I personally really like Frank Miller, especially what he did with Daredevil.  Sure, there was action, but it always touched back to the character.  Before I read Miller I didn't really pay much attention to Daredevil, but now I enjoy the complexities of the character.

Personally, I think what you started was a great solo character, and then you wanted to add a group... Well some characters just don't need that, they can carry themselves well solo.  I think Timerider is able to do that.  Anyways, I'l continue reading and good luck!  It's hard to write 'good stuff' that appeals to everyone.  But it's good to see your trying!

Thanks, I appreciate it. Making a comic book is like anything else in life I guess. You have to keep trying and trying to find out what works.

What I have planned for the future is possibly putting the Lost Heroes off by themselves in their own comic, and maybe going one character at a time per story and occasionally put them together.

Time-Rider meantime will get back to time traveling after the next couple of stories. I want Time-Rider to eventually deal with slavery, wars, conspiracies etc.

You are right. It's the character that makes a comic book worth reading. You got to make the reader care about the character, or hate the character (if it's a bad guy) to create some sort of emotion and interest in the story.

In the next story expect the unexpected. Something is  going to happen with one of his friends that's he's known since the 40's.

Group comics are quite different than a solo series.  I agree that the Lost Heroes need to go into their own comic.  I find with a group series, what usually works is you focus on one main character for an arc and let the other characters act as foils.  Then after that arc, switch it with another character.  Iceman was a foil for a long time in the Uncanny X-men until he started getting his own development...

Heh, notice how I like to talk about writing without doing my own

Hey, I know the feeling. I've read comics all my life, and I catch myself daydreaming the stories the way I would have wanted until finally one day I said, what the heck. I might as well try writing myself.

I wish all I had to do was focus on the writing and then let someone else take care of the images. Then I could learn from mistakes quicker and get to the next story.

I know what you mean! That's the main reason I don't write for comic books because I don't have any artistic ability! Your art is pretty good considering, I can tell you've put in a far bit of work. If I wanted to read Marvel, I'd pay for it, lol.  But keep up the writing and I'll continue to lurk and read.

Sounds good.
