I put a jacket here on Time-Rider which is something I tried to do a long time ago, but couldn't make it work right. Does it look better or worse or no change at all with the jacket?
Just to compare here's a old 3d version of Time-Rider without the jacket.

My personal opinion and from countless comics I've seen. No jacket.
I mean changing the costume to something different is good but wait until you are a couple of storylines in. (i.e. Lectrohm will have a new suit in season 5)
If you want to change, I can talk to my friend Ryan and we can do a few sketches. __________________

Thanks, it's just that I think Time-Rider needs something else to go with the costume, you know. It seems a little plain. Not enough stuff on it. At the same time I want it to be something I can replicate using Poser as much as possible so I can create my stories as fast as possible.
You know I have always been torn between my ideal of Time-Rider as a regular superhero and a swashbuckler like Indiana Jones. I've wanted to go somewhere in between. Writing stories can be so complicated. If the character is too powerful it's hard to write scenarios, but being too ordinary doesn't work for comics visually as well. I mean a feat of super strength registers much better on a comic page than just a regular punch in the nose.

How about a long jacket as compared to the short jacket?
Too Matrix?

i was just thinking matrix! i like it a lot better than the short jacket, but i'd only have him wear it in certain situations, lke rain, or cold weather, or for undercover stuff. __________________"You...complete me."

Thanks for the input guys, but what if he had baggy military looking pants to go with the jacket or just plain blue jeans? Just out of curiosity I wonder what you all think about that.
I was kind of kicking around a idea for a story arc where Time-Rider, Jake, Crockett, and maybe one other hero go on a road trip to Tennessee. Being a vacation so to speak I was pondering what Time-Rider vacation clothes might look like. Didn't want to just have him wear a regular flannel shirt or something. Too much like Al from Home Improvement.
Maybe I might replace the mask with sunglasses though for the trip.

Actually, when you have a superhero fighting in 1 costume for a long time, it's interesting for the readers to see their hero in regular clothes. __________________

Ok point taken, but what about mixing it up a little like a Time-Rider logo t-shirt, sunglasses, and blue jeans?

yep that's exactly what I mean. maybe not too discreetly though. It's not like he's got a regular secret identity. In today's time if he was still alive, he'd be like in his 80's, but then again if he is recognized that might be cause for a very long explanation.

I don't know I think baggy would have been more in Time-Rider's 1940's time than bell bottoms. That was like Disco 70's. Like John Travolta and Saturday Night Fever.

Maybe Time Rider can wear a Zoot Suit, it was a big hit back in the 40's that it started riots Zoot Suit Riots on Wikipedia

I saw a documentary on Zoot suiters a while back. They tended to get into a lot of fights I think. That picture is a good historical find.

Right. Now I wonder what a hip hopping gang banger would think about that?
