Looks like Duck was impatient, here's something new.
------------------------------
Chapter 30; Kindle
------------------------------
After the clean up, Summer Hasch took a vacation to the Mediterranean area. Her plane ride over was the same as any first class person could ask for. Relaxing. She arrives in Sicily and calls and her chauffer is waiting outside to pick her up. When they reach the beach house it’s already almost dinner time, the chauffer tells her to call anytime she needs a ride, nodding she walks inside. Summer drops her suit case and throws her bag on the couch, then walks over to the glass doors and opens them allowing the sea breeze to enter.
Summer: I sure missed this place.
Smiling, she turns on the TV and starts to unpack her things. The weather man tells of how it's going to be a hot one this year, and that by the end of June we could see record high temperatures. Laughing to herself, Summer utters a, 'Sure isn’t going to effect me now.' Jumping on the couch she relaxes allowing the vacationing lifestyle consume her. She flips through the channels to a news report of a robbery.
Summer: Does it never end?
Silhouetted man: I'm afraid not.
Summer: (Jumping up startled, she sees the outline of the man in the shadow, the same one that appeared with Ohm before.) Who are you? How'd you get in here?
Silhouetted man: ...
Summer: Talk. Or I'll make you talk.
Silhouetted man: Calm down, your fire abilities are evolving, control them... work with them... befriend them...
Summer: How do you know... (He phases away in a thinning mist) Wait... How did he know about my powers? And the weird thing that happened to me when I was fighting...?
Summer falls back onto the couch, she goes over everything that just happened in her head. Summer looks back up expecting to see him standing there, no such luck. She looks back down at her hand; a claw like figure that's on fire appears all around her hand and in a split second it's gone. Surprised, she tries focusing on her hand, it bursts into a small flame, Summer focuses harder, it grows a little bigger, but no claw. 'Hmph' she says as her hand explodes into flames, the smoke turns the fire alarm on and the sprinklers go off dousing the fire. 'Figures.' she utters lamely with a "Stupid me" look on her face. A notice on the news appears, police are unable to stop the theft dude to an abnormal person who can morph his hands into giant rocks, 'Show time' Summer says as she quickly leaps into her costume and flies out the door. Minutes later Pyra arrives on the scene where the man is blocking bullets with huge boulders where his hands should be.
***** Picture Coming Soon: Craig ******
Pyra: (Landing in front of the thief) Who are you?
Craig: (In a triumphant voice) My name is Craig!
Pyra: (Looking disappointed) Craig. That's it? That's the best you got?
Craig: You dare speak at me so?! Men, annihilate her!
A few henchmen appear from behind him and begin firing their weapons. Pyra creates an oval of lava round her that instantly melts the oncoming bullets. The henchmen stop firing and 2 of them pull out a bazooka, a second later, it fires and Pyra drops her shield and flies out of the way just in time. Standing next to the smoking crater, she holds her hands out, palms toward the fire; it flickers, and begins to swirl around Pyra. 'Control it... work with it...' she repeats the strange man's word over and over in her head as the flames wisp and flicker around her. The heat now begins to rise and her along with it. 'Well don't just stand there, take her out!' Craig yells at the staring henchmen who begin to rush Pyra. She opens her eyes to reveal the whites of her eyes glowing brightly and her iris a deep red. One henchman leaps in martial art fashion but is quickly kicked into the glass doors by Pyra. She lands on the ground, fiercely and flips backwards into the air, midway, she grabs two henchmen and as she lands throws them both over her shoulders right at Craig. Blocking with his boulders, the two henchmen are out cold as soon they hit. Another henchman gets Pyra in a headlock, without moving she simply raises the temperature causing the guy to rear back in pain. She back kicks him into the other charging henchman leaveing Craig to look at his fallen army.
Craig: You annoying gnat! If you want something done right you must do it yourself!
Pyra: Bring it on blockhead.
'Ggggrraaaaaaahhhhh!' Craig yells as he charges Pyra. He swings the massive boulder down where Pyra stood a second before; she leaped over him with grace and back kicks him in the head. Shaking it off, he back fists--or boulder's Pyra as she lands into one of the cars. Getting up she blasts fire like a flamethrower at him, and quite easily he blocks with the rocks. Walking into the heat, he chops his boulders apart knocking Pyra's attack off and her back a little bit, and then slams the boulders back together again. The force sends Pyra flying through the building behind her. 'I win! I always win!' Craig yells in a victorious voice.
A second later his laughing dies as he looks around himself at the street, he sees the police bent behind the cars guns pointed, and a couple civilians here and there watching the fight from far off. Then something catches his eye, he can see heat waves all over the place, before he realizes it, it's too late. A few small words are uttered from the building, and in a huge explosion a beam of fire and lava in the form of a dragon bursts out of the building striking Craig's rocky defense. This time, Craig isn't able to keep it up; the extreme heat begins to melt the boulders until there's nothing left but rocky fore arms with melted tips. Craig drops to his knees as the dragon begins to dissipate, at the head, is Pyra spinning with her arms stretched out in front of her. She slows and lands on one knee, but rises to look at her torched foe.
***** Picture Coming Soon: Dragon's Flare ******
Craig: Have mercy… (He utters in pain)
Silent, Pyra turns to the police who salute her and run over to Craig unsure of how to take him in. She flies off thinking about this new technique she has mastered, 'A Dragon's Flare...' she utters with a slight smirk, '...interesting'. She flies back off to her house to enjoy the rest of her vacation. __________________
