It's a me and Wraith chapter.

Chapter 36; HQ

Wraith, Ohm, and Jimmy all land in the hanger outside of Ron's work place. Wraith and Ohm walk out as Jimmy parks the copter on the ground. Wraith hits a panel on the wall and the floor opens up between them. They walk down a spiral staircase and come to a complete stop.
Ohm: Ok, the stairs just stop, what's down there?
Wraith: Wait for it.
They wait a few seconds and a metal pole comes into view, Wraith jumps to it and hangs on. Ohm jumps and hovers next to him as they move forward into the blackness. Ohm focuses energy to fluctuate around him illuminating the narrow walls and the seemingly endless space below them. They spiral down for what seems like forever, then the pole just stops.
Wraith: I built this as a place where I can come to be alone, gather my thoughts before battle, etc. The only other person that's been down here is Jimmy, no one else knows about this place.
As soon as Wraith finishes, he lets go of the pole and plummets down into the darkness, Ohm flips and dives after him. Before he can catch Wraith, Ohm notices him hit some sort of pillow and bounce off. Floating down he lands on a dock floating in the water.
Wraith: Surprised?
Ohm: A little. Where are we?
Wraith: Exactly a mile and a half underground. I found this underground lake shortly after digging down here, none of the workers noticed that they hit this area and I took over the site. I had the area put under confidential construction and built the place with Jimmy's help. (Walking down the dock) Jimmy is not only a engineer but a brilliant pilot, chauffer, and an all around capable guy. After I uncovered this cave, Jimmy and I built the fortress above us now.
They come to a wall and Wraith flips a two-handed lever illuminating the cave. It's a circular room, around 16ft high, and 20 ft across. It's completely filled with water except for the landing pad next to the dock. At the other end of the lit dock, a circular door is in the wall. Wraith removes his mask, and him and Ohm walk towards the door which is split like a pizza; a hole in the middle opens and scans Ron's entire body. The hole then closes and the door slides open revealing a dimly lit hallway with a low ceiling.
Ron: Welcome to Alpha Base. Follow me.
Ohm: We've gotten a little serious over the years, haven't we?
Ron: I still have my humor when I'm out of costume.
Ohm: What do you say to a night on the town after we work?
Ron: (Shaking his head, then chuckling) You have no idea how good that sounds.
The two move through the corridor passing a number of rooms, one room contains an assortment of weaponry and another shows different bikes with various accessories. After they turn the corner, they're immediately stopped by a door, Ron puts his hand on the panel to the right and after it scans, the door opens. Directly in front of them is a monitor the size of big screen TV, surrounding it are other smaller monitors. To the left is a table with microscopes and chemical identification equipment and other various detective items. To the right is a work table clustered with newspapers and magazines.
Ohm: I feel like I'm in the Bat Cave, except more high tech.
Ron: Make yourself comfortable. (Ohm speeds around in a blur and when he stops he's wearing jeans and a T-shirt.) Well that was fast, (Mike smirks) Ok so, we know Drake has been stealing military equipment--
Mike: --and he's using my energy to fuel whatever he's doing.
Ron: Right, now his motive is that he hates light, what does he plan to fuel, to get rid of what?
Mike: (Shaking his head) I don't know. (He walks over to the clippings of Drake.) He doesn't leave a trace...
Ron: Well let's see what he's stolen, (He gets on the computer and begins typing and clicking rapidly) He's stolen, space equipment? Why would he need to know the precautions for going into-- |New Video Feed, accept?| |...Connecting...| --
Mike: What is it?
Ron: Will wants to talk; he must have found something...
Will: Mike? Ron? (A window featuring a live feed of Will with Stan in the background)
Mike: (Leaning on the table) Yeah we're here, did you find anything?
Will: Drake is uh... he's--he's targeting the sun. (Both Ron and Mike's jaw's drop)
Mike: How? Why?
Will: Well the why is because he seeks to destroy light remembered? The how? He recently stole a device the stops nuclear fusion. This device was supposedly scrapped years ago but, the government has been working on it in secret this entire time. They uh, somewhat finished.
Ron: (Sitting back in his chair.) Makes sense. The sun is just one big fusion reaction, destroying it disrupts the entire solar system not to mention, killing all life around it.
Mike: (Stunned, Mike walks around running his hands through his hair trying to think straight, he then turns around.) Wait, what did he need my energy for?
Will: We don't know exactly, but it's pretty safe to say it's for powering the device. It would explain why the scientists were unable to finish it; the device needs a huge amount of energy to start it.
Mike: Alright. Will? I need you to contact Summer and Alexa and tell them the situation. We need to get to Drake before he sneaks on a shuttle... wait a minute, when's a shuttle launching next?
Will: (Shaking his head) Uh... I have no ide--
Stan: Less than 24 hours. (He walks up to the screen.) NASA is launching a shuttle, a new one that can travel at hyper speed as close as they can to the Sun to gather more information.
Wraith: (Putting his mask back on) Looks like we can forget about that night on the town.
Ohm: (He speeds around, and has changed back into Lectrohm) Drake is not getting on that shuttle.
