Comment: I really don't like the game, the missions are boring, it has no intro, no history, nothing, just an spider jumping around and walking everywhere and nobody cares, I should buy Grand Turismo instead.

Summary: Had to return it... Left handed players cant play!!
Comment: I got this game for my daughter because she LOVES spiderman!!!! I mean, its seriously an obsession!!! She and my husband both sat down to play it one night... it was IMPOSSIBLE for my husband to play because he's left handed!! The game does not allow you to change things around. You need the stylus and the buttons to play and this made it absolutely impossible for him!! My daughter was upset because it was very difficult for her. Being the huge spiderman fan she was, she politely asked if she could get another game. This said a lot!!! She's the type of kid who would suffer thru a bad game just to watch spiderman! HAHAHA So after 3 days of owning it... back to the store it went!! Fortunately my video game store has a 1 week game grace period. if you dont like it... bring it back!!

Summary: Could have been so much better. Fun but lots of bugs.
Comment: I got this game from a seller for less than $[...] because of the mediocre reviews. I loved the spider man 2 on PS2 , so I got this one for my PC. I like games like Prince of Persia , God of war and Spider Man which have a lot of crazy moves and acrobatics. After playing the Dark prince in POP, I was eager to play with the Black Suit Spider man. It started off well , I like the action stuff. Lot more Combos and Moves while fighting and swinging. It has interesting mini games like skydiving , races and impressing Mary-Jane Activities...blah blah blah.
Unfortunately , the game started to freeze and overload the computer after some time. I have a 1gb ddr2 memory with 256mb graphics card on my gaming Laptop. I have played Rainbow 6 vegas, COD 4 modern warfare and GRAW Advanced warfighter 2 on my computer with no problems. But this game sucks my computers life after playing for 20 minutes on low graphics setting.
I am happy with the fun element of the game , it's just that the developers should have worked on these bugs , so everyone can play it on their Mid-level computers.

Pro's: Great fun for fans , more moves , combos , activities .
Con's: Freezes after sometime. High system requirements. not made for non gaming computers.

Conclusion: Unless you are a die hard fan of Spider man, have a Super computer with extra powers gained after a radioactive Spider bit it and you are getting it for super cheap, .....it is best to avoid it.
Try the other new ones. Spiderman friend or foe & ultimate spiderman ( I am yet to play those.)

Summary: Work and no play makes Spidey a dull superhero
Comment: This is the first Nintendo DS superhero video game that I've sold off. My kids were really excited to try Spider-Man 3 (having played the GBA games before). After the first day, my kids won't pick this game up anymore.

Why?

Well, the combination of button controls and stylus web swinging is just too much for their little hands. They are overwhelmed by the controls. I've read a bunch of reviews that like the use of the stylus but even those reviews admit that you get mixed results (your intended move doesn't always translate on screen).

Meanwhile, my kids were underwhelmed by the gameplay. You'd think New York City is populated by 98% felons. Spider-man doesn't meet anyone who he doesn't have to punch, kick or throw around. Quickly, this becomes work instead of play.

My kids prefer "Spiderman: Friend or Foe" and frequently play together (Check out my Amazon review: I bought an extra copy so they could play together.)

Much was made about the Tobey Maguire voiceovers but they didn't lend enough to this game to add another star. My kids liked the "Iron Man" voiceovers better.

Now that the Spider-Man 3 movie release is a year old, I can't imagine most kids would be intested in this title. I hope new superhero games are released on the Nintendo DS, just not games as much work as this.

Summary: Good if you haven't played Spidey 2.
Comment: First off, if you have played the game Spiderman 2, then you should just really look at this as an expansion pack. It doesn't really do anything that Spiderman 2 didn't. Your in a very similiar enviornment as you were in the second, but in it's time Spiderman 2 was much better. I beat Spiderman 2 twice I believe. I'm a third of the way through the game and am not sure whether or not I will ever finish it. I had started back on it not long ago, but I got frustrated and put back on the shelf. If you played Spiderman 2 and moderately enjoyed it, then this isn't for you. If like me you loved Spidey 2 then I would check this out.

Overall 5.5-6.0
