That's Russell Crowe behind the mask. Bob decided Crowe would make a good Cap despite the fact he's an Aussie. Bob feels that Crowe fits the bill for rugged individualism, a trait very important in a character who represents America.  Too bad John Wayne isn't around anymore. Of course John Wayne really didn't look much like Steve Rogers. Awesome image especially when you consider the difficulty in creating an action scene like this.
 I love to see Cap sock it to the Nazis!
