Discuss Time Rider

Notes: Ok, so hopefully you figured it out, the flood is none other than the one from the story of Noah's Ark in the book of the Bible, Genesis. One thing you rarely see is sci-fi mixed with Biblical events. I think the only one that comes to mind is an episode of the Time Tunnel where the time traveling heroes there actually met Joshua that is available in the Time Tunnel volume 2 set.

I think this is an awesome opportunity to take sci-fi lovers down a road they rarely see. Like in this case what if a time traveler landed just before the great flood of the Bible. What would he see? Too often comic book writers and writers of other media feel they must be cornered into writing according to Darwin's history. Personally, I think the world is much more fascinating from a Creationist point of view.

The Bible isn't the only place you'll find instances of a world wide flood. Several ancient cultures have their own stories. One would be hard-pressed to not conclude that there must have been some world wide flood at some point in Earth's history. As far as dinosaurs hanging around in early man's history, it goes against your average Darwinist scientist view, but interestingly enough in what is said to be the Bible's oldest book Job, there is mention of a very large creature that sounds a lot like a dinosaur.

Job 40:15 15 Behold now behemoth, F227 which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. 16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. 17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. 18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. 19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him. 20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. 21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. 22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about. 23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. 24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

And what about this verse from Isaiah referring to a dragon?
Isa 27:1 -

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

So play along with me regardless of your religious or scientific views and maybe you'll see some sci-fi adventures you never dreamed of reading about before in the months to come. Can you imagine the effect of a time machine on the current scientific community's outlook on the world around us and the origin of man?
